I can see why they were concerns pre-draft about the draft order. The same group at the front has gotten first dibs every time the $$ amount has changed. Having said that though, is or is not that an advantage, because they get the rear end every time in "round 2" so to speak.

Interested in hearing some of yall's comments on this. Personally I'm ok with it. How about the people at the front, what do yall think? And of course the people at the end, what do yall think as well? And, I don't want to leave out the middle, you guys are important too. :)

Jeep, I was going to post something today along those lines. Not complaining, just commenting.

The 1st draft pick has the ability to nail down at least 4 if not 5 picks ($4 million & above) and know exactly who he is going to get and at what position.

At #12 I can slot X $$'s for a spot but have to settle for someone quite a bit less if the top dollar guys are taken and I have to fill that position. I can see having $$'s to spend in the late rounds and having to spend in on a guy that may not fill my needs.

I think it's a definite advantage to be at the top and know you are going to get certain guys for your team.

I don't think that keeps me from fielding a competitive team, it just makes it a little harder.

I know we couldn't have used Penn's system doing it any other way and that's just the way the lottery system works. I could have just as easily been the 1st pick so no sour grapes here - just talking.

You brought up a point I hadn't realized. The guys at the beginning know exactly who they're drafting every other round.

In addition, with this being a $100M league they can continue doing that throughout the rest of the draft.

Like you, not complaing, just discussing.

I was surprised that nobody seemed to respond or care about the discrepancy in the drafting order after I pointed out the advantage that the first few guys in the draft order have. As I explained back then, the first pick gets their choice of every single price point.

Of course, this is TSN strat featuring HAL, so nothing is ever predetermined and there still is a lot of luck and chance involved. I do believe it is an advantage just the same but (as I pick second) it sure is a long wait till that next round as AF Dickey will attest.

Eddie it's not that no one heard what you were saying, we just couldn't do it on Penn's site any other way.
