Lumbercompanysouth - STOP AT ROUND 5
MANLEEMAN -
ironwill1 -
ggrover -
joekendall - STOP AT ROUND 5
herge - STOP AT ROUND 5
killermarc - b) CONTINUE TO THE END OF ROUND 6
jflatour99 - b) CONTINUE TO THE END OF ROUND 6
padrenurgle - b) CONTINUE TO THE END OF ROUND 6
JMP 1 -

(pasted)

I have a quick rule question...do we get to have any kind of open waiver period after the initial draft but before the season starts as with the typical game engine, or are we wed to the roster we choose now?

Hey Padre, you dance with the gal you brought to the party! -- i.e., you select 30 players for 2001 and stick with them.

CATom has not posted on any of the boards since making pick #23 in our draft on Friday evening at 20:28 EDT.

He's been emailed, PM'd and paged, but still no joy.

This is odd behavior for an SOM veteran -- playing online since 2002, won a dozen or more titles -- so I can only guess that life outside of SOM has interfered somehow.

Nonetheless, it is not fair to the rest of the managers to keep the draft on hold for a long time, waiting for one missing manager to return.

If we do not hear from him by 20:28 tonight (72 hours after his last post), then I will seek a replacement for him in the main discussion forum.

Note: If anybody knows of someone who would be interested, please let him/her know this could be available.

Thanks!

i think we need to start looking for a replacement. I also think we may need to void round 5 if the replacement wants any of those players.

Just my 2 cents. I am ok with giving my up and picking another if the replacement wants him.

I agree, since we are apparently not going to continue the round. Stopping now is unfair not only to the new player, but also to the bottom half of the draft order. Roll back the last 12 picks, let the new guy pick his three players; most of us will have the opportunity to pick up the same players we did before.

Hi tcochrane,

I'd suggest putting the word "draft" or "initial draft" in the title of that post, so people don't assume it's an established league that a manager bailed on.

Thanks for moving on this!
