Gentlemen we have a problem.

Splinter has been using a player no longer on his roster, Jose Valverde was traded by splinter on 2/18/09 and yet he has used him for 24 innings this season.

Here's the link to the page in the thread with the trade. It was made with bby, but still is valid as hawk took over his team and splinter still got the picks.

I'm sure it's an honest mistake, but something should still be done about it.

I need to know if the prospect pick is 2nd round [b:f82f0de654]spring[/b:f82f0de654] or [b:f82f0de654]summer[/b:f82f0de654] I'll assume either way it's for 2010. :wink:

Otherwise the deal is OK. No drops as smitty was at 39 prior to the deal. Now he's at 40 and KD is at 39.

recommend a loss of a draft pick - not sure how high but it should
depend in part on Valverde's stats while playing. The better Valverde did
the higher the draft pick.

The pick can be made up with a supplemental pick at the very end of the
draft.

That, along with the immediate release of Valverde, would be my

I like KD's idea posted on the league page of losing a draft pick TBD (or having Hawk and Splinter swap draft picks as a penalty that would also compensate Hawk) and obviously immediately dropping Valverde.

I believe it was the first (spring) prospect draft Bill.

Smitty can confirm.

And with Valverde doing so well, perhaps just a swap of positions (like Smitty mentioned) would suffice. Depending on their draft positions, swap a 4th rounder for a 5th rounder or something like that.

While there should be something done, given the inadvertant nature of the use of Valverde, and his obvious statistics, point me towards a minor infraction type of deal.
