Some of my "morning after" perspective...

[quote:dbdb58e7e0="bobschwartz22"]I was positive that for the Frenzy to take place we would have needed to be in at 7:00 pm PCT[/quote:dbdb58e7e0]Of course, despite your being positive about 7PM CT, it is in fact 9PM PT.

[quote:dbdb58e7e0="bobschwartz22"]In addition, with one manager having proxies I new he wouldn't be able to enter so I took for granted that the frenzy was going to take place later[/quote:dbdb58e7e0]In the same post where Simon said he'd leave proxies because of his unavailability Friday, he also stated clearly that he would be back ("I should be home around 9:00 in plenty of time to put the rest of my team together and load.")

[quote:dbdb58e7e0="bobschwartz22"]I see that there is quite a bit of displeasure with me so I wasn't sure if I should stay in or not.[/quote:dbdb58e7e0]I myself am more disappointed than displeased. I'm disappointed that your less than complete understanding of TSN's deadlines etc., had an impact on several other managers, myself included. I'm actually a bit more disappointed that you just assumed that we wouldn't frenzy last night- instead of simply posting a question such as "when are we frenzying?" sometime during the 2-3 hours we were drafting before you left. Lastly, you're going to be away tonight, so when did you think we were actually going to do the frenzy portion? We all must take accountability for good communications in these types of leagues

Am I frustrated? yes. Am I disappointed? yes. Am I angry "at Bob"? No way! Am I willing to move on and make this work? Absolutely!

As someone mentioned, I've also found Bob to be responsible in other leagues, and I look forward to our doing battle in future leagues too (e.g. Alpha series!)... I can be frustrated (now) and still move on with a positive outlook for the future. :)

By the way, I am also frustrated that Nev completely and summarily dropped out so quickly... ... but naturally that's his own individual right and I'm certainly not angry with him either.

OK, peace 8)

I propose:
- courtesy call to nev to be sure he wants out
- if still out, check modmark or other prior Fast Sixers to replace
- frenzy whenever, but seemed next Friday might work for many
- move on and enjoy the season :)

Good morning all! Bill, I enjoyed reading your post. I think it probably sums it up for most of us. Disappointment more than anger prevails.
There seemed to be more going on last night then in previous drafts with myself included. I can remember one live draft we had, in Joe's LAZBOY, where somebody lost power, hence...no computer. Joe had the foresight to collect phone numbers and kept in contact so things continued to run smoothly. I should probably do that before the next draft. I can understand Nev's frustration but if somebody does have his number and wants to call him, that would be great. Mike is a long time player in this league and a great player so I don't want to just give his spot up before he has some time to cool down and make a final decision to drop or stay. We have some time to work with so I would prefer to give him a day or two. Bob? You also have been in this league before and I know your a good guy. I, like Bill, am ready to move on and just go from here with no ill will. Lets try and get a consensus on next Friday night if we can. I think tkl might have the biggest problem because of his work schedule but Saturday night might be an option too. I'll contact Modmark just in case Nev does want out to see if he will take over Nev's team as is. Thanks for all your patience guys. This was a tough draft. Lots of unexpected stuff popping up but I think we can get through it and move on. :)

Beach has a good point about holding the draft sooner rather than later. All of the expensive players are taken so the frenzy isn't as important as in other leagues. Extra time to tinker may prove more valuable than banging the refresh button at midnight to get first look at the leftovers.

[quote:747db2011f][b:747db2011f]This has been immeasurably frustrating. My personal life is as chaotic as it's ever been and clearing my schedule for this wasn't easy......It was a waste of the little free time I had.[/b:747db2011f] [/quote:747db2011f]

Those words didn't come lightly. Good stuff, bad stuff it's all been here for the last few weeks....

I never thought my wife being on bed-rest would be so hard on me (lol) but with my Step-Daughter's Prom, graduation, graduation party, Fathers day, Baby shower and both my Grandfather and another friend of the family and her daughter staying in our house...well that's been the "fun but hectic" part ...

My Wife's pregnancy has been a nightmare. We had gone to two Doctors every Monday and Friday (4 appointments) for the last month or so, and now we need more tests starting on Monday, and we must go every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (6 total appointments). :(:(:(

can't forget work too.....Last night was to be one of my favorites, but it quickly became one of frustration......I really count on Strat, and you guys to help lessen the stess :)

BUT.....

[b:747db2011f]Bob is one of the nicest guys here[/b:747db2011f], and we have spoken at length in the past, but it was awhile ago. (that's why I didn't have his phone #) and while I was really upset last night, still ain't so sure his logic is understandable (to me anyway) however everybody deserves one mulligan (I think I'm using that term correctly).......

So......I'll go with the majority here and be happy to come back, or defer my spot to my buddy Modmark.....

Hi all. Was just alerted to your situation, and quickly scanned the posts to catch up. Sorry things worked out for you all they way it did. Anyway, I am willing to step in and help out when and how I can. I can frenzy/enter a team tonight, if you need. After tonight, I would not be available for a frenzy until next Friday. (Because of my 3rd shift job from Sun-Thur. nights). Try and let me know if you need me to do something tonight, as soon as you can. Otherwise, I could end up falling asleep this evening, and not getting your message until it's too late. I will try and stay up to watch the Red Sox game, but will probably be fading around 10pm EST or so. But, if I know you need me to frenzy tonight, I will take a nap earlier so I will be up and alert come midnight. I have no idea what players or park I would be assuming, but I'm not worried about it. Deep enough pool in this game to adjust on the go. Besides, I don't need anyone's help to put together another loser! :P Of course, Michael staying with you guys would be the ideal situation. I am fine with whatever.

Nev, would be great to have you back (it was after all your team!)
Mark, thanks for standing by and being willing to jump in.

Great guys, both.

I will be out for the afternoon, but am willing to go with whatever is decided in my absence. I can frenzy tonight and/or next Fri/Sat nights, and am also OK if we decide something in between.

I'll be back by about 10-11PM tonight. :)

I know it's short notice and a lot of people had plans for tonight but if Nev loaded his team today, could everyone do a controlled frenzy tomorrow evening sometime? Say 7:00 or 7:30 est? Just a thought....

Should we make it Waivers?

BTW Someone owes me 1,000,000,000,000 because it looks like I'd get to be in Frank's division after all......Man when it rains it pours.

BTW2...My team was appropriately named "Rain Delay"

OK, cool. Looks like Michael is staying in after all. Glad for all concerned. You guys work it out and have fun. See you all in the various other leagues we share together. :)
