I also wanna give pats on the back to my 2 players that were chosen for me: Fielder smacked [u:f018897ed5]48 [/u:f018897ed5]HR's (in RFK no less) and Carmona with [u:f018897ed5]24 [/u:f018897ed5]wins.

And if yall would allow, accolades to Paplebon, Paps had [u:f018897ed5]50 [/u:f018897ed5]saves. :)

While we're giving pats on the back for the chosen players: Pena socked [u:32ebd5200f]50 [/u:32ebd5200f]HR's for me (although injured thru Game 5 of semi's!!), and Brandon Webb won [u:32ebd5200f]21[/u:32ebd5200f] games.

I have to give a huge honerable mention to my sub-$1M/#4 fielder: D'Angelo Jimenez - [u:32ebd5200f]45 Doubles, 111 BB's[/u:32ebd5200f]

Beckett won 22 and J-Roll had 66 XB Hits and 93 RBI to lead my mediocre team to an inexplicable 89-73 record...Limped home losing 8 of 9 so I've got low expectations for the playoffs...

It was a sad season for my Angry Outbursts. The 20 game lose streak and the monumental second half collapse. Here is a quick synopsis:

[u:b4c6e76ba2]Before Game 120[/u:b4c6e76ba2]
Kev's record = 62-57 (1 game behind Jeep)

[u:b4c6e76ba2]Game 120 through rest of season:[/u:b4c6e76ba2]
Kev's record = 10-33 (20 games behind Jeep) *Jeep went 29-14 during the same stretch

Key Stats:
Jeers---Harang 12-21 record

Cheers---The weirdest platoon in SOM history!! I had two lefties (my sub $1M outfield platoon)
[u:b4c6e76ba2]CF platoon was Pie and Langerhans[/u:b4c6e76ba2]
Combined: 583 ABs - 43 Doubles, 12 Triples, 14 HRs, 21 SB
They combined for 69 extra base hits at Kauffman. Their BAs/OBP were low, but they are both CF-2 with a -1, -3 arm.

Not many other bright spots except Corpas had 46 saves for a 72 game winning team.

Good luck to the Playoff teams.

Kev

Not much to give props for on the Binns team...

1. Utley's 70 doubles

2. Matsui: .316 BA/ .400 OBP / .548 SLG in LF

3. Buerhle's 19 wins

4. Figgins 700+ PA's & 98 SB's

Good luck to the P/O teams...

visick

Thanks for the idea/league Jeep. :D

Yes, Series MVP Josh Beckett beat Brandon Webb for the 2nd time to help us cheese by Keyzick in Game 5.

Now, we face the Commish to see if our luck continues.

Yeah, I was lucky. Lost Milton Bradley for 2 but 3 out 5 is about this normal pace anyway.

Beckett won for the 3rd time in the postseason to get us back in it, down 2-1, but then we lost a tough 1-0 heartbreaker in Game 4 and got waxed in game 5...by a much bettet team, I might add.

Congrats!
