Bobschwartz attempt to respond to parkav97 ? to genegrid

Any team who had an ATG3 player on their original roster may pickup that player as long as his ATG3 team is not drafted AND he fits into the $80 mil salary cap. A few high impact possibilities are listed in another post:

(See post below for a list of players

I believe there isn't a contradiction. If any player on the provided list of players who played for multiple ATG3 teams and which one of the two teams has been drafted can be added to that drafted team as long as the other team isn't drafted and there is room under that team's salary cap.

I would believe that adding these players should be done prior to the autodraft.

Only players under ATG3 who aren't on a drafted team and whose salary is $1.99M or less can be added to a drafted team as a FA.

QUESTION FOR GENEGRID - If a player on your list has a salary of 1.99M or less and who isn't listed on a drafted team at the time of the auto draft - can that player be drafted as a FA?

Knew I was taking a modern era team. Just not 100% sure which one.

===================

No one on my list was under $1.99 because anyone can draft an FA under $1.99 if he is not on someone's ATG team that was drafted

Also, we are required to carry all players on your roster except for the 4 exceptions originally listed because of salary constraints.

I am able to drop 3 '39 Yanks per original rule and replace them with as many FA's under $1.99 that I can fit on a legal roster (24-28) and under $80 mill

So if the above players original SOM ATG3 team is not drated, then whoever drafts their other team could add them to their roster (salary cap permitting)[/quote:1c2299566b][/quote:1c2299566b]

Gene, you contradict yourself here. Please explain. According to your rules, none of these players can be selected as FA's.[/quote:1c2299566b]

The above is the exception to the $1.99 rule. The '62 Giants can pick up the 3 players listed (Perry, Pterce and Miller because they actuallly played for the real '62 Giants)

[quote:861b3ee92f="parkav97"]Bob, I'm assuming that in the case of Foster,

[quote:861b3ee92f]George Foster of the '75 Reds played with the '86 Mets [/quote:861b3ee92f]

he goes to either Tom or me, whoever gets him in the autodraft. That's basic. My question though, is that Foster isn't listed on the 86 Mets roster.

The other players that played for the 75 Reds and another team should automatically be mine, if that other team isn't selected, correct?

And any player over $1.99 and played for teams not drafted aren't available to anyone?[/quote:861b3ee92f]

Foster is yours because he is on the SOM 75 reds. Had the 75 reds not been drafted then he could have been auto drafted by the 86 Mets because he did play some for the real 86 mets. Let go right before the playoffs as I recall

Hmmm, thought I had my pick til I read about NO DH. Else would have taken the '77 Dodgers and added Boog Powell.
