2 Major 'The Naturals' news items out of Montreal today!

Firstly, the Montreal Marlins PR Department has announced that while the team WILL be staying in Montreal, despite Jeff Lorias attempt to purchase & move it to Florida, the name of the team will change, so as to avoid any future lawsuits or buyout attempts from Loria and co.

Secondly, Marlins management has decided to release Robin Yount, its once franchise all-star SS, after Yount demanded a pay raise that would see him get paid 10m+ yearly. Although management liked Yount personally, his choice of Boras as Agent was a major blow to team chemistry. Furthermore both Jack Clark & Carl Yastremski had agreed to small, but significant, paycuts in order to remain members of the storied Montreal franchise.

As Jack Clark said: "The though of moving to Hillsboro, Germany or the U.K. simply horrified me & my family. I'm still making 9 boatloads of money, and I get to play for a class organization."

Hey, are we allowed to make "off-season" trades? I'll give you something for Yount if we are.

gamiam - I don't see any problems with owners having off-season trades - although if a solid majority oppose that idea ...

However I'd be looking for a big RH bat to replace Clark, since that is the hitter I'd not protect, if I was to move Yount. Unfortunately for you, you do not have any hitters that I am really interested in.
