In any case, took King Felix. NP's proxy fired, up to Keyzick.
I'll be away for a couple of hours, but I set proxies that I believe will hold.

Hey Guys,
Still no sign of AT. I FB'ed him, but no reply as of yet.
Since he said he's not ready, maybe we should just put the whole thing on hold until he is.
Personal opinion, it's not fair to anyone to skip him another pick.
What do you guys think?

We've got to do something. Either he needs to be on board or we need to replace him. He knew we were ready for another NLD, I don't think it's fair to everyone to suspend drafting until "he's ready."

Well, I agree he could have checked in at the end of the league and let us know what was going on, but OTOH, we didn't ping everyone to see if they were ready. We just sort of ran with it.
In any case, AT, what *is* your status? If you're not ready to roll, at least put in proxies, then when will you be?

1) Agree that notice for starting was a bit short.
2) That said, AT requested we skip him. He took on that responsibility so Jet my take is no need to let his absence concern us.
3) If we are concerned about the competitiveness then bring on a pinch hitter.

I guess that's where I'm going. To skip more than a couple round you're putting that team in a big hole and thereby compromising the league competitivness, particularly when it comes to the WC spot. Probably wouldn't be an issue with four divisions.
In any case, he either needs to get involved, or be replaced. At the very least he should tell us what his timeline is for starting. If it's too long, then I'm sure he'd understand that we would want to keep moving and be replaced with a sub.

I share your frustration, particularly the lack of communication. You can't just disappear in a live draft. You're either in or out. AT has been in the league a long time and I think we should allow him to at lest check in and tell us his intentions.
Does anyone have a way of texting or calling him? Maybe we should set a deadline for his reappearance. Maybe something happened that wasn't expected. I know he doesn't usually use proxies and such, but this is a long time for him to be away. If he is going to be replaced, moving any further also puts that new manager in a tough spot so I think we sort of have to wait to get resolution one way or the other.
So, in case AT is dropping out (for this round or longer), do we have suggested replacements?

I think we need to hear from AT, and determine if he can go leaving proxies, and let him know we can't just "skip" him.
Until that's resolved, we wait IMHO.

I have gotten an e-mail response from Arryl, here's where we stand.
Arryl is EXTREMELY busy at the moment and if we'd have taken a roll he'd have asked to waint until August to start (My fault, I just sset up the drat cause a couple of you, joe most notably, were anxious to go again).
That said, he will be able to check in, catch up, and load proxies on Saturdays and he'd really rather NOT be replaced, I think he's earned that right myself.
In the meantime, I've also asked him to check the draft site on weekday mornings to see if his proxies are gome and to set himself to skip his turn, so we do not have delays. I'm thinking/hoping, with the Saturday catchup we should be okay.
I'm not really sure what everyone's big hurry is anyway, but some of you want/need to get this done quickly I guess.
This is the best we can hope for given the current time frame.
Our other option is wait, but Once Arryl is available, I'll only be available until the 6th of August before I go on a long needed vacation myself and I will not be available.
Let me know what you guys want to do, and I'll do my best to make it work.
