Get to play the Hummers at the right time tonight. After having to read C2's pregame long winded taunts, Tom's Hummers have to be exhausted. If you think C2's crazy pregame rants are over-the-top, just imagine what C2 is yelling out of the dugouts at his players for three straight games. Tom's Hummers are playing in my stadium tonight.....and they are still traumatized! Perfect! :D

Maybe that was...

A bit simplistic...It wasn't as much about being a great player who has never won a championship as it was about the attention he has drawn to himself. Even in Pro Hoops there have been plenty - Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Nash, Ewing and so many more...

I am not a LeBron hater - I am in awe of his athletic ability and what he can do on a basketball court. He is arguably one of the 2-3 best players in the game today and the most incredible physical specimen ever. I do however have a problem with his ego and level of maturity - Especially the way he handled that whole situation.

I have no problem with him leaving Cleveland, teaming up with DWade and Bosh or how much money he makes. He is worth every penny and broke no rules. But to hold everyone hostage all summer, never communicate he was leaving to the Cavs so they could figure something else out(A sign and trade etc.) And that self fulfilling fiasco he pulled was so disrespectful to his teamates, fans and the Organization that granted his every wish while he was there is the most classless act I have ever seen by a professional athlete of his stature.

The amazing thing about all the negative public reaction is I think he was surprised. It just says a lot about his generation.

... and since we have time to catch up:

Robbie!!! Good to read you posting and thanks again for the Carmen miranda hat reminder... ooooh boy that was a super fun league with Tyber90 and etdefender and yourself and stoney... I think it was the first rooks vs. pros that I remember, man 'o man that was fun. I rememeber clearly etdefender making me literally do a spit take on my old computer.

and that Carmen Miranda hat atop the Big Unit!!! priceless

You know my biggest dissapointment in Strat? Honestly.

I never got that 11 Mil Randy Johnson card. EVER. I must have put R.J. atop all my autodraft cards but I never got it. Still bummed

I'm glad to hear you've clamed down, it's always a sign of peace, and peace is a good thing to have in our hearts. In many respects I have calmed down quite a bit. Surgeries and wacked out girlfriends kinda forced me to slow down and after a a period that lasted about 8 months I found myself calm... at peace one would say.

Oh boy the stuff i went through I wouldn't wish on anyone but I am glad I went through it... in a weird way.

So... :D

About movies... you know, lately I've been watching and thoroughly enjoying some "smaller" flicks, some quite succesful and some not so, but I've been really enjoying films like Role Models and 500 days of Summer and The Hangover... I haven't seen Hot Tub Time Machine but being an 80's kid I better do.

How 'bout books anyone???

I'm in the process of reading the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo... have to say I am enjoying it, about 400 pages into it and I'm quite happy with it so far.

before that I read Nobody Move by Dennis Johnson, which I recommed quite a lot.

Also lately I've knocked Bloodsucking Fiends and Bite me (I had read You suck before) by Christopher Moore whom, I have to say, makes me laugh like a deranged strato player. Good, good stuff for those who like a good laugh.

Before that I read American Gods by Neil Gaiman, another very, very good read if anyone is into fantasy stuff.

About LeBron... yeah... I thought it was a bit too much of a circus. Funnny enough Teddy Ballgame and Dan Marino spent their entire careers with the same team... I don't know why but it's interesting that the beloved "no-champs" stayed with the same team... worth noting.

... and BTW, a movie that always cracks me up:

Mr. and Mrs. Smith.... dunno why but seeing Jolie and Pitt whacking the catookies out of each other is just funny... in my book at least

Wasn't impressed with the Polished Totems last night, either their play or the security. After we finished out a 2 of 3 series win a couple of the fans tried to come over and polish[i:5b0d691058] our [/i:5b0d691058]Totems. Obviously we didn't want any diseases or anything and last we heard those fans went back to the Truck Stop.
