It's standard for the clock to be off in round 1 and on in round 2. Bob's a bigger guy than me because I wouldn't apologize to anyone who goes more than 24 hours without checking in or claims they couldn't find where to post they were having a problem.

Did I get an understanding from the original thread that the stadium was to be picked in the 16th Round ? Was that the original theme league creators intent ? If that's the case, we have gone astray.

With very few exceptions I have found Strat to be extremely collegial.

I guess this is one of those exceptions. I suppose we will have to agree to disagree.

For the record, I WAS paying attention. At 3PM of the day of the first round, I had made my pick in Rd 1 and we were up to pick #9. Then I had problems w my Internet access. Really through no fault of my own.

At 6 the next morning, a mere 15 hours later, and only nine "working" hours later (3PM-12midnight), my pick was skipped and a second pick I suppose was about to be skipped.

I understand the excitement people feel at the result of a new league. Certainly I feel the same. But I can tell you I would think long and hard before I ever skipped someone's turn early ina draft. I would make damn sure I had tried to work that out and given a little bit of time. That't just being fair.

And as to the snarky remarks about "not" knowing where to find the thread and "instructions" on how to use proxies, maybe I'll just refer to my statement about collegiality and exceptions. REally nver encountered that sort of thing here at Strat before.

Donnie boy is just plain wrong here -- it wasn't an attention problem, it was a access problem. And it wasn't anywhere NEAR 24 hours.

Although you are right about Bob being a bigger guy.

Really, we have no way of knowing what your problem was. And like I said, once your #1 pick was made, you're belived to be here. As someone else said, the clock usually goes on after the first round. That's absolutely true in Barnstormers. A rule we should have put in could have been - [b:36292a9b9f]no back-to-back skips[/b:36292a9b9f]. Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda. :(

Can we all agree to hold off on any further stadium picks until we hear from BobBoone and get this straightened out? Not sure what the fair fix is at this point.
