FAST 6 XXVIII CHAT THREAD

Because of the delay in replacing 2 managers, I'm not sure what were looking at for a draft date. Andy didn't list Friday the 30th as a possiblity and Mort listed Friday's were the best day for him. The following weekend is Good Friday/Easter so that might be a tough one to schedule a draft for. We might be looking at April 13th as or next best option. I'll keep everyone posted as I'm still waiting for some reply's to fill the open spot but if anybody knows that the 13th wo't work, let me know asap! Thanks for your patience fellas! -David

On a side note...an update! Today is my Dad's 81st Birthday! He undergoes his final chemo treatment tomorrow. He has done great with the chemo and all the other nasty medical stuff they've done to him. No bad side effects, no loss of appetite, no nausea and all his organs seem to be holding up well through these treatments! All very positive news! He did say he was going to retire from umpiring this year though! lol I have two friends that are brothers coming over to my folks house Friday night to surprise my Dad and play Hearts. We use to do that about 20 years ago and he loved it! He spends a LOT of his free time playing Hearts on his computer. I also got him a 10 disc collection called "The Essential Laurel and Hardy." (I think I want that too! lol) Hopefully he'll still be around for a long time to enjoy it! :D

Your dad is a lot more thick-skinned than I am. I retired from umpiring 30 years ago when I started thinking that umps should be issued cattle prods to use in discussions with whiny crybaby players/coaches.

Truly excellent news about your Dad ... hope he enjoys the Hearts marathon tomorrow night ... and that the Chemo is really and truly GONE!!
