I have yet to abandon him entirely. It has pained me greatly to watch him struggle, since I was a fan of his on the other side of the Pacific before he came to Boston too. He is just beginning to get ready to return to the mound in 2012, so he might yet earn stats this year. Of course, they might turn out to be like his most recent stats, unfortunately...

Anyone have a scoop on Hideki Matsui? To have left him on the sidelines for Jones shows he Yankees are really dim... I had hoped to get a chance to see him this year, but he still seems to be a FA; not good on 27 March.

Wow, feel extremely lucky to start off with Braun and Votto, picking from the 11-spot!

yep, I'd much rather be picking at 11 or 12 than 1 or 2 in a keeper draft

I'm back

Wanted ninersphan to know that. I will be able to pick. No need to use my proxies.

Never had 1st pick in a Keeper league before

But it really sucks.

Not only do you miss out on scores of good players in the early going after the first pick but then you get last pick in [b:d1817ab5f3]both[/b:d1817ab5f3] the Prospect and Stadium drafts. Why do we do it like this? Tradition? Because I know it's not anything close to fair. But of course life isn't always fair. :)

The price you pay for getting the honor of picking the best card in the draft. I also think while it does suck watching guys fly off the board, having 2 picks close together is a huge advantage.

And hey, you can always try and trade.

You're up for 2

[b:48d8de0155]Oh and by the way for derfs and zim, you do not get a 6 hour clock for back to back picks, it's 3 hours.[/b:48d8de0155] The same holds true if a trade nets someone back to back picks.

Could of always traded down  I wasnt happy with the 3rd pick because I knew it was too early to take Lawrie there but was still hoping he would fall to me in round 2 :( Damn you Cubit

I will say that the 1st season in a keeper league is always the hardest to draft for because you dont know who is going to draft how:play for this season, position scarcity,go for best talent, youngest talent or take best available player you can get at each position?? Always find yourself kicking yourself for not taking [b:667629a682]THAT[/b:667629a682] player a round before. It is very frustrating thats why we love the keepers

Good point

Can't complain about getting 'El Hombre' at #21. Pretty sure his OPS will be a bit better than .907 this season. 8-)
