Scoring question. I'm about to update the scores after Jeep's first run through the division and I was wondering...Are the sweep points bonus points? i.e. You get the points for the wins plus 6 extra for the sweep or do you just get the sweep points??

I would have to assume that they are bonus points. Hopefully JeepDriver can confirm either way after he is finished ripping his team a whole new set of arseholes. ;)

So Stoney, you're then interpreting the sweep points as bonus points. I have no objection to this, just wanted to be sure that that's the rule so that I can update the points standings for the East.

I guess I'll just update the scoreboard based on this and adjust it accordingly if needs be.

OK, got 1 of those Dunks back. So far I haven't even changed my batting order cause I didn't think this team was as bad as they have showed. Still a couple of Dunks behind though. Bunbury is up next. :)

Re: Dunk Points - I'm pretty sure the Dunk Points are what they are, no "extra" points valued in.

Well I'm no math wiz so I can't say whether having the sweep points as the sole points for a sweep or whether they are bonuses really skews the scoring system or not??

On the surface I'm thinking it doesn't but I have been known to be wrong before??

I interpreted the scoring as getting points in 3 ways.

1) Wins/losses
2) Shut outs
3) Dunks

Ty, you're thinking it's 1 & 2 unles it's a Dunk then just the Dunk points?

I think so since only shutouts were listed as bonus points. If the word "bonus" had been written in front of the sweep points part too then I'd have never had a question in the first place.

Again, I'm not sure it matters really since the points would be available to both us and Jeep so it probably doesn't matter which way we regard them.
