Kudos to Patterson on outdueling Randy Johnson. We got 9 hits, but left everyone on base. Seems like any time we threated - Patterson shut us down.

Won the other 2 games though, and 1 more win to insure a winning record on the road. Got to figure out why so many of my teams do well on the road but only mediocre at home. :?

I have to admit, I am hoping that I do not have to face the Strike Team in the playoffs as they seem to be my toughest opponent in the division. Hopefully we can rebound from last nights sweep. :(

With 6 games to go, another TBK season is closing with a tight tight competitive playoff race! While the divisions themselves have been, or could be clinched tonight, there are 5 teams within 2 games of the Wild Card. Will be interesting to see what the landscape is like after tonights games!

Only won 1 game, but that was enough to clinch the Central, the last division to be secured.

Looks like the WC will be between terpfan & BigAlric. Although mathematically other teams have a shot, whomever wins tonights series between terpfan & BigAlric will clinch the WC with 84/85 wins. If BigAlric & terpfan had been playing myself & Aray0113 respectively, then both teams could have lost tonight, but with 1 bound to win at least 2 games, no other team, unfortunately, even with a sweep, can reach 84 wins.

I suppose that means Warrior and resmanjr both played spoiler last night by taking 2 of 3 from WC hopefuls Sykes & djl3737 respectively.

This time, with the benefit of knowing I have the division clinched, I can rest all my starters. :D

However, I will re-evaluate my last series vs. The Castaways after tonite's games, in fairness to the other teams fighting for a WC slot.

Well, with the season coming to an end i tried to munt a brave comeback, even had a farly good winning streak but at the end it seems like I've fallen a bit short.

Sandy: Using Ishii has been a stroke of genious on your side.

All best of luck to the playoff hopefuls...I'll try to eke out a winning record tonight though

Btw, how did the other version go?

Also kudos to all for participating & my thanks on getting this 5th TBK Season completed. I guess it is about a 8-9 month wait to see if there will be a 6th season. For those of you in TBK II, I'll have Season IV (2006) set up pretty soon (like in 1-2 days). Just been waiting for a couple of other commitments to start/finish.

Thanks again to all, and feel free to share your favourite players/awards & so forth. My team awards will be posted at the conclusion of the playoffs, and I will update the overall W/L record from all 5 seasons soon.

I made the playoffs there too, but lost to gggappp in the semis in 5. :cry:

Often on my teams (as I am so offense possesed) I am forced to make do with little funds so he and Pete Walker (and even Trachsel) are personal favs of mine. But they will NOT work in any park in any division. :wink:
