I am wondering if some people will even hit 50 million in roster. The first season is going to be like actual baseball. Some teams will have no payroll and play for tomorrow and some will have 3 times the payroll and play for today. The smart ones -- not me -- will do both.

Question on timing for our drops next year - I assume this will be after we see TSN's final card set? I have 1 or 2 guys that may not get cards so curious to see how that develops. Aubrey is the key one with around 100 PAs and .935 OPS vs RHs. I think he has a good chance at a card but not sure...

Aubrey probably won't have a card. The cut off is usually 150 PA for players valued at more than 5 million., I think. There are strict rules on it now and it was posted once, but I forget the exact correlation to OPS or cost.

The highest priced player with less than 150 PA last year was Joe Mather, who cost 4.65 and had 145 PA. Furcal made it in with 163.

If we doing the prospect draft right after the initial draft, why not start it up now? We're doing a lot of waiting, and I fear that as the player pool dwindles and proxies get used up we may be waiting even longer. Since we'd be starting before the announced time, there might not be a clock.

First of all, i would love to encourage everyone to have a full list of proxies, if folks did this we could be done in a day. I don't think it is a good idea for us to mix the prospect draft and the regular draft, I can just imagine some kind of tricky situation coming up, but I do think that the moment the regular draft ends, the stadium draft, immediately followed by the prospect draft, should happen right here on this board, probably in a separate draft thread. It is possible the stadium and prospect drafts could run at the same time. I will write about this shortly.

Turtle - I think Aubrey stands a good chance depending on where the cutoff is. Josh Anderson's card was only $3.4M, and his splits are very similar to Aubrey's, with more defensive value & SBs. Anderson also had under 150 PAs (144 to be exact). So we'll see.

BTW Turtle, you're up!

Did some more research - Nick Johnson is one of the best comparisons for Aubrey. Johnson had a card priced at $3.93M with under 150 PAs, and an OPS a bit higher than Aubreys & a similar R/L split. We'll see, should be a close call...

Aubrey won't have the injury roll Johnson had. Regardless it all depends on how much he ends up costing. I thought in the mid to high-5s and therefore left off. We shall see. I don't have any keepers anyway!!! And also a low pick in the prospect draft!

I have to somehow hope Vlad gets a 4 in RF!! I bet it will be a 5(-2) though.
