Happy New Year everybody!
Off topic slightly I went to see the Thunder/Hawks game last night. That was the best NBA game I've ever seen in person. Both are excellent teams that really play well "as a team". Plan on seeing a couple of more Thunder games going forward.

On topic, we had 3 good games last night Joe, really a battle. Two 1-runners and a 2-runner.
Lately my record in one-run games has taken a tumble. Hopefully I can pull out of this funk for the stretch run.

Keyzick and Zim are pretty hot, too so my WC lead is but a mere one game. I think the WC is the way I will make the p/o's, catching you DT will be hard to do.
Stoney has some breathing room in the East now.
Looking over the standings there's going to be one good record team at home for the post. Hope it's not me.

Man we just SUCK in close games especially in our own division. We're toast after the past three nights.
Our pen which should be pretty good gives up 8 runs in the 8th and 9th to lose 12-11 to Jeep in extras.
Then Feliz and Wilson give up 4 in the top of the 8th to lose by 2 to Jeep.
We lose 2 of 3 to Poorly who has struggled against most teams except for us.
Then, to top it off, DT, a good, and very lucky team against us, sweeps us winning by one or two runs. We leave 11 on in the first game (to his 3) and lose by 1, We give up an unearned run inthe bottom of the 9th when CJ Wilson, with two out, makes back-to-back errors and then walks two LHBs off of his own card. Granted he's no gold glove, but you only have 2 chances in 216 to get a PX and his OB v LHB isn't *that* bad. Then in game 3, we lose giving up 3 unearned runs in the 8th when Gold Glvoer Span (1e6) makes an 2base E that costs us three runs and we lose by 2. Oh, did I mention we left 10 on in that game?
Man this team has just been brutalized by the dice. Still have the third best Pythag (even with Feliz performing horribly) and we're once again a game below .500. Brutal.
We're playing .315 ball against our division. :shock: That's just horribly bad luck. I mean our division is good, but no way we're *that* much worst than them, especially with Poorly. We have -3 run diff with Poorly and are -4 won/loss and 8 fewer runs than Jeep with also -4. And, to top it off, 10 of 16 losses to DT have been by 1 or 2 runs or in extras. :shock: that's just F-UGLY and it pisses me off!
Nothing against anyone here at all, just very frustrating. I thought things would even out, but.....Man! This has been a very tough NLD for me. :evil: :cry: Just hoping to finish above .500 now.

I hear you Joe. My goose is cooked also. I just didn't get enough of 'my guys' in the draft to ever get in a comfort zone. Easily one of the worst teams I've had using the 2009 set.
Oh well, bring on NLD 27! :D
