Looking for a Catcher and a top 10 *SP, or a Big Righty Bat too. Here's what's available:
Hitters:
Teixeira - $5.47
J. Guzman - $5.57
A-Rod - $4.81
J. Francouer - $6.14
C. Beltran - $7.84
N. Cruz - $3.73
Pitchers:
S. Baker - $3.90
De La Rosa - $3.75
T. Hanson - $2.25
Jor. Zimmermann - $3.72
And Any prospect is available in the right deal (Rendon, Cole, Banuelos, Taillon, etc.)[/quote:38c1805cb4]
I'd like almost any of that but don't have what you are looking for.[/quote:38c1805cb4]
I figure some people could use my extra pieces (especially prospects if you're looking toward the future) but surprisingly have heard little from anyone. Also add Mesoraco to the list of players that I would deal.[/quote:38c1805cb4]
Here's the bigger problem, there's alomost no SP avaliable in the draft, at least not #1 or #2 quality, there's some boderline #3 guys but mostly it's guys you'd prefer being your 4th or 5th starter, or flyer guys.
Here's the top 10 *SP this year
Verlander, Justin
Kershaw, Clayton
Cain, Matt
Fister, Doug
Halladay, Roy
Hamels, Cole
Lee, Cliff
Weaver, Jered
Lincecum, Tim
Romero, Ricky
You and Schnoogens are the only guys with more than one right now, how on earth to you expect someone to give up another one unless you're including at least 2 and probably 3 of the guys you listed, especially whe EVERYONE could use at least 1 sp this year, just look at the rosters.
Hell right now I'd kill for the 4 bottom pitchers you are offering my staff is so bad, but unfortyaly I don't have a big RH hitter, I'm willing to give up, have no top 10 * starting pitcher, and my need at catcher is almost as bad as yours.
That said if you like Rolen, a RH bat, Lucroy a Catcher and Anibel Sanchez an * sp, and wanna give up Zimmerman and De La Rosa, I'm all ears [/quote:38c1805cb4]
Actually I have Verlander and Cliff Lee so I have two, that mean 6 of the top 10 are consolidated to three teams. Pretty interesting.
And I agree with Bill's analysis, I would want a pretty robust offer to move either of them.
