Hope all you guys have a Happy and most importantly safe New Year !

This is my favorite holiday, with Thanksgiving being a close second. and
I have to work tonight. :( Since it will be a very slow night I'll have to
resist the temptation to "buy" another team. Instead I'll try to fine tune
the 3 I'm trying to run now.

Being swept by the "master" of Strat last night did not do much for my
optimism for this season, and now tonight I have to play the leader of
the West !! I hope 2006 is better "strat-wise" for me !!

Happy 2006 Everyone !!!!

Don't be too hard ...

On yourself, jeff...I think you held up pretty well in a tough Division.

My problem is my mid level SP's underperformed so horribly ofr 2/3 of a season, I completely dismantled them - which of course made my pitching horrendous. All my park did was cause all the good pitching in the league to pitch their best games against my team at home.

I think had I stuck with my initial team, I might have fared a little better. It was tough being the only RH team in a predominantly LH Division then having to play all my road games outside the div in predominantly RH Parks. my team never seemed to be able to find an identity. but the new Ballpark sure was fun.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Wow, been on vacation and then the post vacation flu/virus/whatever and finally starting to get a good look at things again.

My BlueRiders made a good run but are being slowly winched back into the pack. Tough teams all around. Hoping the pitching holds up because the hitting is not getting there.

Cota/Piazza have 30 dingers to Sexson's 24, but it still a tight race. Glad the Sexson from that other team of yours hasn't shown up here - what does he have, 41 now?

Anything can happen in strat. I just finished a league at 81-81, last in my division but with the 5th best record in the league, 17 games back of the division leader. At one point my team was 64-44 and had an 8 game wild card lead. All gone. No postseason.

But glad to be back and looking forward to the rest of this season!

[b:6050df761e]HOLY SCHNIKES BATMAN![/b:6050df761e] The only way the East could get any closer would be if we were all tied! And that dear friends is a distinct possiblity before this week is out.

My hat's off to Cummings though for almost (and could still) winning the division going wire to wire.

thnx Ty,

15 games short of leading wire-to-wire...oh well.

I thought it'd be tough though. The main reason why I came out on top during the first divisional games was because Mirabelli, Walker, Shields, Duchscherer and Peavy were performing better than expected, I knew it wouldn't last though and hoped I could hold on long enough to endure their coming down to earth, problem is that they liked the coming down so much they've continued their nose dive.

Most weird has been the injury bug to A. Jones, last I checked Pokey Reese had more games played than A. J.

I am used to my teams holding around .500 and having a spurt at the end to tease me into being 1 or 2 games out of the WC/Div. lead but my last two or three teams have been the opposite.

Fun division to play in though. All three divisions are pretty tough and well played.

Last run boyos!

All best of luck, especially to Stoney, ET and TY...you're going to need it after I unveil my "all natural" unis tonight. From now on the Little Red Riding Hoods refers to the contaceptive device of our choice! That's right, we play a-buffo :!:

We'll give new meaning to the words "Rally Monkey" and "Thunder Stick"

One thing's for sure: even if you beat us we'll haunt you in your dreams

Good to start 06 with all you guys! All best of luck.

Well it's happened. The East has officially become a dogfight and a pretty nasty one at that. There is absolutely no way to predict the outcome of this one! A run by any of the teams could take the division and or the W/C. It's been a long time since I've seen a photo finish but we seem to be headed that way.

Yep, the east and the wild card could very well come down to tie breakers. Anyone know who holds the head to head lead in the east?
