[quote:85c4b92922="7smitty7"]Guys - I just posted my pick, and I apologize again for the long delay, but my life has been a roller-coaster for the past week and a half. I appreciate your patience and understanding through all of it. I should be good from now on.
And just for my own need to express, here is a recap of my last seven days:
Monday was our due date, but no action so we had an appointment on Tuesday where the doc said we were going go soon. At that same exact time, there was an earthquake in Va. - which we felt in here in AC (where some of the casinos were evacuated). I then had a city council meeting that night which was devoted to the four boys who were killed in the car accident. I had stopped by the one boys home that day to talk to his father, who is a friend of mine. On Wednesday night, my wife started having contractions, but we waited as long as possible to go to the hospital - then her water broke as she was laying down. We made it to the hospital (after dropping off my 5 year old at my brothers) around 1:45 AM (Thursday morning). My wife gave birth to my second daughter - Quinlan Rose - just minutes later at 2:12 AM. My wife had complications and had to go to the OR to have her placenta removed. She was actually telling me make sure I tell our daughter she loved her. She was in the recovery room around 5 AM. She is stable now and my newborn is perfectly healthy.
I missed the first of the four funerals that morning at 10 AM, but made it to my friends boy's service at 1 PM. I coached and taught him. The viewing lasted for 5 hours, as thousands of people showed up. It was unbelievable and torturous. I spent that night back at the hospital. I went to the third boys service at 10 AM on Friday. I taught him two years ago. I spent that day with my in-laws and others who visited the hospital that day. This is when the hurricane restrictions went into place, and the roads were closed. My house was in the flood zone, and I had to move stuff inside and close it up as best as possible. We were discharged the next day, just as the hurricane was starting up in SJ. We had to go to my brothers house, where power went out and we had a tornado warning, and so had to cram under a stairwell in a pantry closet (all 8 of us). We were able to go home Sunday afternoon, but power was out and my crawl space was flooded. Power was out until about 4 PM today.
And so, now you have my pick. Sorry for the long story, but I am still trying to wrap my mind around it all.

Uhm wow.
I'm glad to hear your wife and newborn are both doing well. I hope Irene didn't cause any lasting damage to your home and I can't imagine what this past week has been like for you. I certinaly hope that things get a little more normal for you soon, sounds like you could use it.
