I wasn't going to comment on the injuries today, but geez it's been hard trying to stay afloat and my record shows the injuries have hurt, only 3 wins in my last 10.

I still have 3 players out for 9/7/7 games respectively. :cry:

EDIT: After looking at the boxscores, however, I did score 22 runs last night in the series. On 2nd thought my pitching let me down far more than my hitting did while missing 3 regulars.

I'm running out of excuses, anybody got some I can borrow? :wink:

It's been tough playing after the 15 game injury to my closer, the 15 from Edmonds to open the season with, and then the 8 games to McCann... certainly pleased with the way the team has handled the injuries.

Sorry to drop 20 runs in Game 2 on you last night Jeep. I must have thought this was the "Dunk Jeep" league!! :D
If it makes you feel any better, Glaus went nuts against my pitching. I need to Maximize my intentional walk settings the next time we see Glaus coming.

Damn guys! I thought this was the Friendly Rivalry Keeper League. With all the beanballs and injuries between Jeep & Sandy, Dusty Baker and Tony LaRussa must be guest managing your teams! I'm glad our pitching coach, Bob Gibson, has not gotten out of control to date. Anyway, my starters don't throw hard enough to hurt anyone. Here's to elbow pads and shin guard when I play you guys! So that they wouldn't be traded to my competition I put them to "sleep" this morning! :shock:
I guess in retrospect, that seems like an extreme measure and I may have over-reacted! :oops:

Now I have to tell my wife that her two cats ran away!!! :?: :shock:
