Now that round hurt. Always the danger of proxying ahead ... had I been picking live, with all the starters that went, I never would have taken Gerut last pick, but would have taken Colon there. Now ... ? Ugh.

Pick coming shortly.

It appears The Colonel is cornering the market on light-hitting switch-hitting infielders. There is a need for them, believe it or not.

Ok, I see that CATOM is up :D , I left proxies for the 15th and 16th Round. I have to go and pick-up my golf clubs that I had re-shafted :D , I will check back when I get back home and pray that the players I left on Proxy are not taken. SGT D

Out of curiosity, I tried to see if the TSN site would accept my proposed $54M team, and it wouldn't. So I had a heart-to-heart with Bernie, and we will do the following to make his life (and our lives) simpler:

Look at the top of your draft page (on the TSN site), where it says (in brown)

Total Salary Cap: 80,000,000 (change cap)

Hit the click line under (change cap), and change your team salary cap to $60M.

Now the site will accept your proposed $54M team.

What we're gonna do is this: Create a $60M league and put the teams in it. Then after the league runs, and after the waiver period, Bernie will change it to an $80M league and we'll be good to go.

I asked him to check whether he could change it to a $72M league, and he'll let me know. Pays to know the right people!

Question about injuries

Postby cwolfson1 » Tue Sep 13, 2005 7:06 pm

Once you land on an injury on the hitter's card, is the "injury chart" always the same? So that "rolling" for an injury that's on 12 on the hitter's card is the same as rolling for an injury that's on 5 on the hitter's card?

It seems odd that cheap subs who didn't play much can have their injuries on 12, while regular players who missed time due to injury and have 350-450 AB have their injuries on 4 or 5.

Another question about bullpen rolls

Postby cwolfson1 » Tue Sep 13, 2005 7:13 pm

What are the bullpen rolls that you can set in this game? I've searched the site for an explanation or sample screen and can't find one. (The only FAQ doesn't say what they are, it only recommends that you set them yourself.) What I'm wondering is whether you just designate guys as closer and setup, or whether there's any L/R designation, such as closer, L setup, R setup, long relief, etc.

One final question

Postby cwolfson1 » Tue Sep 13, 2005 7:34 pm

Are pitchers who are "S" only (not S/R) ineligible to relieve? Will the computer use them in, say, an extra inning game where your bullpen is depleted?
