HAL strikes again ... in game two of the series ... my team goes on top 6-4 in the top of the 10th ... HAL ... being the 'smart' manger that he is ... brings in my closer Ryan ... FOR 1 BATTER! ... Then proceeds to shuffle out ... Merker ... Looper ... Shields (Of course for only 1 batter) ... Then decisdes to bring in the ACE ... Al Leiter ... who politely serves up a BP slowball for Iguchi to launch a GRAND SALAMI ...
(I guess that's OK ... at least HAL remembered that RJ could pitch well ... and allowed him to pitch a complete game win in game 3 for Tyber) ...

Yeah there is no doubt that HAL does some strange things at times. It's odd that he did the right thing first in bringing in your closer and then abandons the sound strategy immediately?? :?
I'm sure that the hundred I slipped him before the game had absolutely nothing to do with it though...Just an innocent mistake. :wink:

Friggin' ouch! My pitchers got their collective butts handed to them lastnight. :x
On a brighter note, I did like that 9 run 9th inning my team posted in that 15-12 slobberknocker. :D

Well I temporarily busted out of my slump but not without paying a heavy price in losing Cabrera and Alou to long term injuries.:shock: Gonna be rough going for the next 5 series or so. :roll:
