Here's what we have so far...

- Play for your City league
- More recent season (70's or 80's)
- Pick'em & Stick'em (division mates draft part of your team)
- Slow introduction of HOF's at specified intervals during the season based on record
- League of 2 seasons, 1 in each division
- Franchise League, # of HOF's is based on your teams in actual season record. (90+ wins no HOF, 81-90 (1) HOF, 70-81 (2) HOF & so on.)

Keep the ideas coming!!! :D

I'd like to use the '80 season as an anchor for a league (since I've already purchased it and found it brought back so many memories)

Maybe pair the '80 season with Toison's gradual add of HOFers

Alright I think we should start voting on the design Netplay III season II :D

My Vote

Postby ROBERTMAVIN » Wed Oct 26, 2005 11:26 am

My first choice would be the Franchise League which I understand woudl combine 1911 and 1934 leagues and we woudl draft two teams.... and number of HOFer's based on records..... ??

My Second choice would be Play for your City League....

Third choice .. redraft 1911.. I really like the style of play requried using this season !!1 ( an not, this choice was not included in the options... ;) )

btw.. I may have misunderstood or misprepresented these choices, so therefore I added my understanding of what my choices were...

1. Play for your city.

2. Two years playing against each other in separate divisions. (Would rather have a more recent year, as above, but I'd go with what everyone else wants--can't have everything).

3. Franchise league

4. (Not mentioned before, just thought of it) A "potpourri" (and cheap) league---we figure out what years we all have in common, choose a few years from different eras, then draft. Maybe add HOF'ers depending on draft pool. We have to have 1911 and 2005 in common, and I'm assuming that we probably share a couple of other years (unless I'm the only nut to buy a few years whenever I order something from SOM). Off the top of my head, I have '11, '41, '65, '69, '78, '84, '89, probably a few others I'm forgetting, and a good chunk of the '90s on. (I have been playing since ver. 1.0, so I have few team disks that I need to get authorization codes for. Couldn't get them to load with most recent version.)

Not really adamant about any of these, so if something else is chosen, I won't be heartbroken.

I'll play if we can get '80 involved.......as a matter of fact how about '80 plus 3 HOFers?

I think I would just like to play a year like we did the first time, any year would be ok with me. I would have done my 1911 team a lot different a second time and would like to give the format a second chance. Whatever year we use I would much rather limit the HOFers to players who were part of that era or at least close to that era and have no problem with how many.

Other than that I am game for whatever format we use.

I also still would like to give my franchise format a try on the side and if anyone is interested shoot me an e-mail.

Here's what we have so far (including my votes) ...

League formats

1. Play for your City league - 3 (i'll play in this type of a league

2. Franchise League, # of HOF's is based on your teams in actual season record. (90+ wins no HOF, 81-90 (1) HOF, 70-81 (2) HOF & so on.) - 3

3. Same format we have been using - 4

4. Pick'em & Stick'em (division mates draft part of your team) - 0

5. League of 2 seasons, 1 in each division - 2

League options (Could work with the above formats)

1. More recent season (70's or 80's) - 3

2. Slow introduction of HOF's at specified intervals during the season based on record - 1

Right now we would be looking at the same format we used with a more recent season as the base.
