PJs Keeper League

Thanks Tim. The breaks most definitely went my way this last season. But carrying the wins over to the 80-100-200 seasons is going to be hard... not sure I have the guns to compete.

The stadium change will have to be one of your live draft picks. Can't do it now, but I'll try to write up the guidelines/schedule for the draft this afternoon/tonight.

Congrats Ed!

[size=18:9440e49e6c][b:9440e49e6c][u:9440e49e6c]Okay, here is what I propose for the next league. [/u:9440e49e6c][/b:9440e49e6c][/size:9440e49e6c]

We've all got 8 keepers and a stadium (or 7 keepers and need to draft a stadium). We'll use Penn's thing again and list our keepers as our first proxy picks. Once we get through this, everyone should have made 8 picks.

For anyone changing their stadiums, they will need to include their stadium selection as one of their first 8 picks. Since we are not competing for players at this point, you can announce your stadiums based on draft order. So far, Ace and Mr.BBW are the only ones changing stadiums. We still need to hear from Rob, Minnie, and Dr.X on their keeper lists. Once we do, you can go ahead and announce your new stadiums based on the draft order posted below.

Essentially, the draft for new players will start with the 9th round. Ed will have the first pick at this point, and we'll go through a live draft as we have before. I'm opposed to using a clock, since we're deep into the keeper league and missing a pick screws you for future leagues as well. That, and the fact that everyone here knows the proper etiquette for live drafts and we'll inform everyone if we'll be away for a length of time.

We will draft 12 rounds. For those of us keeping our stadium, that will be our 12th pick. This will give every team 20 players and 1 stadium. The remaining players will be autodrafted with a waiver.

One common problem we always have is how to deal with salary caps for those who want to draft based on 23 players on the roster vs. 25. Does anyone have a good way to deal with this?

I will go ahead and create the draft on Penn's site now, and send you all the info when I do. We can enter our proxies for keepers and stadiums and once that all goes through, then we will officially start the draft sometime after Nov. 8, once the Vegas crew clears their collective heads. Anyone who can't be available at this point or any time in the near future, just let us know.

That's enough for now, back to mourning. If anyone can explain why Theo is gone, please end my misery...

Just a heads up--I'll be gone during the week of Thanksgiving and will have no internet access. I'm hoping we can get the draft and next season going before then. What is the status of things?

Status is that I will set up the draft tonight, and that the Vegas crew ought to be back early this coming week. We should be able to get the draft under way this week. If we have to pause during the holiday week, so be it.

Keep tuned in here.

Rob won't be back until late tonight, and I haven't set up the draft yet anyway. I'll try to do it again tonight, I should have plenty of time tonight.

PJ Keeper 3 is created. Set up your proxy picks based on your keepers. If you are changing your stadium, make your new stadium pick one of your first proxy picks. Once we have completed rounds of proxies, the real live draft will begin.

Everyone clear on what we are doing?
