I'll get Kielty back in time for Game II of the Semi Finals ... hopefully we don't lose anyone tonight (not benching anyone).

Well I own the tie breaker with you AT, 4 game lead in the division, I'm 2 up on JKolak and own the 2nd tie breaker (6-6, but I have a much bigger run differential). So as long as I don't get swept and JKolak sweeps I'll have the best record.

Playoffs start tonight with Beach visiting geekor & myself visiting JKolak. It looks like I've got Kielty back for the start of the Semi-Finals ... thought he would miss the first game ... so that is a positive. :)

Meanwhile - not that it is a big deal to me - but it could be to some ... I am not sure how JKolak got homefield advantage. :?

Since we ended up with identical 91-71 records then the following should occur:

What happens in the event of a tie for a Division Winner, Wild Card spot, or home-field advantage?
Tiebreakers for a 2-way tie are, in order:
- Head-to-head record
- Run differential
- Coin flip

H2H was 6-6, so another tie.

However run differential for JKolak is 944 RS - 767 RA = 177 RD
While run differential for myself is 1037 RS - 853 RA = 184 RD

Therefore, since I had the better Run Differential, I would assume that means I should have won the home-field advantage ... unless they mean the team with the worse Run differential ... but that does not make much sense does it? :?

JKolak takes both at home - meaning I need to win 2 at home tonight & 3 straight to advance, while Beach forces a split at geekors place.

Well, here we go with two Game 5's.

AT and JKolak have both played very well on the road. Yet, the home team has won every game in the series so far.

Geekor has owned me all year. His offense is loaded. My team matches up terribly with his as I am loaded with switch hitters and almost all of his starting pitchers are reversos. My best shot was to win one last night and advance the series to tonight's scenario: one game where anything can happen for all the marbles. I'll be throwing the best SP* in the deck in Odalis Perez against another one of his reverse SPs.

Geekor would beat me every time in a seven game series. We'll see if O. Perez twice is enough to knock him out in a five game series.

Good luck to all. :D

Wow!

Surprised as hell Affeldt pitches 8 innings of 3 hit ball!

Wow and TSN's error really cost AT a chance at a title with the home team winning every game. He had a chance in that barn burner, but his RP staff fell apart.

Now on to face JKolak.... hmm this looks familiar, maybe cause JKolak is in EVERY 02 league over the past year :P

Ouch! I don't know how a guy with a WHIP of 1.57 beats a guy with WHIP of 0.99 by a 2-0 score. Geekor really is the man!

Wild finish in the AT-JKolak game where JK was down and out but scores three runs in his last at bat for the 12-11 win.

Good luck to both in the finals.
