Well Pedro Feliz certainly had a big night against his former team! :)

Seems like everyone was having 2 HR nights last night!

8 in a row for me gives me a chance in what looks like an incredibly competitive league. 7 teams within 7 games of the best league record. 4 teams currently within 2 games for the WC. 2 very close divisions.

I really wonder if I can fend off the Scorpions in my division. They look like the better team to me. I'd much rather win the division than have to contend with the Dominoes & 2 of the Asylum, Bagels and Splash for the WC.

Good luck all,
Jake

Yeah every division remains reasonably close and there are plenty of teams in position to compete for the Wild Card. Less than 1/3 of the season to go!

Got the best road record in the league ... for now .... but it would be nice to be winning more at home. ;)

I said win more at home - not lose more at home! Have lost the past 4 series at home!

What a key series sweep. Gives me a winning record at home and a 3 game lead. Doesnt mean I'll win the division, but 1 more win against the Bagels and I'll have clinched the tiebreaker (in case of a tie which is very possible).

Only won 1 game against Coffeeholic this time, but that was enough to clinch the tiebreaker. We each play the next 4 series against the spoiler teams, so the division could come down to the final night when we play each other for the last time!

GOODGUYS5 has clinched the first playoff spot. I imagine that they'll be the first seed. Congratulations on the season to them - they've had the best record from the very start.

I'm getting close to clinching a spot, though not in the clear yet. I'm really hoping that I can both hang on & hang on to the 2nd seed. I'm much better at home than on the road.

For the other 2 playoff spots it looks like the Asylum will probably hold on to the West and, although the Dominoes have a 2 game lead for the WC with 9 to go, they have to play the GOODGUYS5 6 times. So the Bagels & the Scorpions aren't out of it, yet.

I really do fear the Scorpions. I'm convinced that they're superior to the Utopians and that I've been just lucky enough to edge them out in this league. I'm also beginning to dislike sbankston65 who keeps running the same strategy as me, only better. This is the 2nd league in a row that we've been in together & each time we took the pitching strategy. We both made the playoffs in the last league, although only sbankston65 made it to the finals. If I can hold the Scorpions off, that'll be an achievement for me.

Thanks everybody for a very entertaining league.

Well I was able to hold off Coffeeholic - winning 2 of 3 in the last series. I believe I went 4-5 against the Cascade Utopians so hopefully it will be a good series. Kudos to all the other playoff teams and to Coffeeholic on a valiant effort to try and reach the Teams Runs Scored top 5! Only came up short by 5 runs!

You're correct about your record against the Utopians. Utopians went 4-2 vs. Asylum at home and 1-2 against the Asylum on the road. Interestingly the scoring stands at 40-39 in the Utopians favor. It's hard to get much closer than that. I'm hoping that my home field advantage gets me through.

Good luck.
