I have tom's proxy, so once Boss is in, we will be quickly getting into round two.
And by the way, for those who spell Palanion wrong - which I see a LOT - the pronunciation is pah-LAN-yen.
For those geeks out there, I was a big D&D role-player in my youth. A group of friends and I had outgrown the D&D stuff by '93-'94 and developed our own system, role-play heavy and less dice rolling, that was based in Tolkien's Middle Earth. So, when I created my diplomat character, I incorporated the word palantir (the mystical orb from Tolkien's books) into my name. I also had to include Lan, which was a nickname of sorts. In the early '90s I would MUD (multi-user dungeon) via telnet. My character name there was LAN, an abbreviation of my college radio DJ name of Lane Meyer, which was John Cusack's character in "Better Off Dead."
Sorry for the long story... been moody/touchy today.....
