How long does the clock run for again? 9 AM to 9 PM ET???


I'll be out and about exploring the great city of Chicago all day today, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to check in until tonight. I just set a bunch of proxies (even though I'm not a fan of that system), so if it makes it back to me, hopefully I won't slow things down a bit.

Hope forgoing a big hitter for the injury proof 2b/ss combo was wise......fun to have a draft where the picks actually seem to matter...

I believe the clock runs from 9 a.m. to midnight, however the Dope clock is set on CT, so that may mean 10 to 1 ET and 7 to 10 PT...
Also, I believe you only get skipped IF the person after you manually picks; the software will not automatically fire proxies at 3 hours.

I was setting my proxy list and did not notice that the next player I was selecting did not have "proxy" next to his name, but "draft."

I had turned off my proxies while I was ordering the players.

Hafey was my number-one proxy...

Dave... I suppose you would not drop Hafey so that I may grab him?
(I would drop Lazzeri and still use that draft spot for Hafey).

I'm assuming that if we draft a player, we aren't restricted to the particular card we draft. Or am I wrong? Like I just took Shoeless Joe: if I can work my budget to take his pricier card, I could use that one? Or do I have to stick with the cheaper version? It's tough to project what your final roster will look like in these kinds of limited pool drafts.

I think you should be able to use whatever card you want given that it's assigned to the 1919-1929 era.

I gotta regroup a little.

I was hoping Hafey would fall to me - and he did - only for picks to be made (proxies firing) while I was reordering my proxies and thus I clicked on "draft" (when I thought it was "proxy") on Lazzeri, which fired off the proxies for Dave -and whoosh, bye bye Hafey (and of course my #2 proxy was one of those picks that went while I was looking at players...).

Oh well. I will not use proxies for the remainder of the draft in case of this happening again. :?

I will pick shortly; just gotta put the boy to bed.

Yeah. The proxy thing on Dope is pretty tricky. Especially when you get surprised with the sudden speed of the round. GL P.
