available players

Hi guys,

I have a number of players I can deal in order to improve this team for now, as follows - mainly looking to improve SPs:

Livan Hernandez - putting up a year similar to last year, I would be interested in a better card for this year but who sucks for next year. Must be * guy though.

Sergio Santos - RP who has been excellent this year, prospect roster player.

Andres Torres - if you need CF, could be a good grab, still useful for next year vs. RH in a league this deep.

Dan Johnson - good DH/1B/LF bat in this format.

Kyle Lohse - good SP card for next year.

Give me a holler if interested, other areas of upgrade could be 1B, would offer Pena + something substantial for the right guy.

Why exactly are you dragging me into your complaints at this juncture? While I agree I didn't get the better end of this trade, giving up picks was ill advised, I did get younger and better with Buchholz, Hosmer and Wieters. But if the time to question that deal should be over by now.

[quote:a4573b3f22="The Turtle"]and I thought this was much worse:

Qksilver gets:
C Santana
T Hudson
D Ortiz
Zumaya
#2 FA 2010 (#30)
#7 FA 2011
#1 prospect (#5 overall)

Rant gets:
Wieters
Buchholz
Hafner
my last 2 FA picks in 2010
Hosmer (prospect)
#4 FA 2011
#1 prospect pick (#21, my 2nd in the round)

But everyone has their own opinions on players.[/quote:a4573b3f22]

Relax fellas. Personally, I haven't seen a trade yet that you can't make an argument for both sides. But so what if you could? Should MLB have vetoed the Ryne Sandberg for Ivan DeJesus trade in 1981? Should the NFL have vetoed the Herschel Walker deal in which the Cowboys received something like 37 players? Just because you don't like a deal or you think it will negatively impact your chances of winning, doesn't mean you should be questioning the integrity of a deal. If you want to piss & moan about you not being able to make a deal that makes your team the team to beat, by all means...have at it. But this thing has gotten out of control. Enough already!

Rant I didn't mean offense, just pointing out everyone has different ideas on players. this is one I thought QK got the best of, but you felt you did (since you made the trade). Just like JLaw liked the trade he got with me and I with him.

Sorry for starting the commentary, guys. I just remembered Chuck's original rule that no deal was final until the commish approved it, and felt the need to get a bit more info.

Yes, we each do have different views of a particular player's value. Guess that's why we play the game, eh?

Actually I thought I got the worse end of the deal, but got worn down and wanted to make a deal. I didn't think I got taken though...Ah well, no real offense taken.

No problem T. Just an fyi, the rule was intended to make sure any agreed upon deal complied with roster rules, that's all.
