TBK League II - Season III (2005) - Season Underway!!

Postby ArrylT » Wed Jul 05, 2006 9:20 am

With 9 games to go ggapp has clinched the West. I've got a 5 game lead in the East and dr. tax has a 5 game lead as well - but those races are not over until they're over. ;)

Looks like dr. tax will likely clinch the #2 playoff spot.

2 games seperate jaydingess & sandlotshrink for the control of the Wild Card - that looks like the most exciting race to watch as we draw ever closer to the end of the season!

Well I won 4 of the last 6 to make tonights series vs. the Nythawks pretty much meaningless. I'll probably rest a couple of my injury prone players since hawkeye cannot win the wildcard. Congratulations to dr. tax & ggapp on clinching their divisions.

sandlot still has a shot at the wildcard - but will need at least 2 wins or a sweep and hope the Axes do not win more than 1 game.

Just a headsup that Season IV (2006) won't start for at least a month as I have other commitments to attend to first.

Apparently that happened!!!   :o :o :o

I'd say that maybe I could wind up with an '05 credit afterall AT, except that I my so-so Minute Maid team is facing Hizzy's excellent Shea team in the first round.

As I suspected above, a look into the head to head matchup revealed the horrid truth.

I went 4 - 8 vs. Hizzy, inc. an "outstanding" 0-6 vs. him at home!

Doesn't matter - all 05 credits are converted to 06 credits automatically - unless you request otherwise - that is what happened when I won my last 2 05 seasons a couple months ago.

Kudos on coming from behind to snag the WC on the last day. Kudos also to dr. tax on securing the #1 spot from ggapp who'd had it for most of the season.

I was lucky enough to go 6 and 0 versus the shrinks at home. Hope I can follow that up in the playoffs. I really did not want to face RJ until the last possible minute in Shea. Hopefully AT will take him down.

Now.... I need to pull out the bandaids. I did not rest my folks at all, and now I may be paying the price.

Sheesh.... gl to all in the playoffs.

Doc.

Split a pair against ggapp - hopefully I can win 2 of the final 3, preferably 2 tonight!

Congratulations to dr. tax on advancing to the Finals. All comes down to tonight between ggapp & myself - as we're tied at 2-2.

Hey ggaapp I thought the agreement was that I would win the odd numbered games and you'd win the even numbered ones ... :P  :P

Good luck to ggapp & dr. tax in the finals!

AT: Thanks for the well wishes and sorry about that agreement. RJ would have nothing to do with it. You did sweep me in the other league last nite so you got some measure of revenge. The finals between me and the other doctor should be pretty good. He won 5 and I won 4 games during the regular season and our stadiums are pretty much the same. What I can't figure out is how he scored so many more runs than I did with similar OPS numbers, maybe the caught stealing hurts more than the stealing helps. His team drew more walks, maybe that's the key. I'm just glad to be in the finals again.
