Since the draft swaps are listed with the rosters- I get Casey/Cummings 2nd round FA pick in 2009, and she gets my 4th rounder. Part of the Santana/ Ordonez deal.

Nice payroll you have there, qksilver. Have to say, though, your roster looks like the 1927 Yankees in comparison to San Fran's real-life lineup. Are they running some sort of experiment to see if its possible for a Major League team to average less than 3 runs a game? Like a Bill James' theoretical exercise brought to life or something?

Yes. My apologies, I just double checked my roster and didn't notice that picks traded were listed.

Mr. Bubba Hotep is correct, that was part of the Santana Trade. The original post is quoted above (March 10th / pg 114)

Hey Mike,

Yeah my lineup is not that horrible actually, I'll score a few runs due to matchups, but my SPs are abysmal, maybe the worst I've seen in these formats.

On the Giants, jeezus don't get me started. Rowand is the big threat in that lineup, and he's the hitting equivalent of Barry Zito - overpaid, overrated, and will suck for years. He'll hit .250 with 15 HRs, watch.

They sent Schierholtz down, the one guy (along with Lewis) that most people think could actually do something at the ML level. Ortmeier also has a chance to do something up here, but has a rough spring & they bench him. In the meantime Dave Roberts and Rich Aurilia are getting starts.

I'm ok with it being ugly as long as they give the kids with potential a chance to see what they can do, but wasting money & time on vets just makes no sense. It makes you wonder if the G's hate Billy Beane so much that they can't force themselves to take a page from his book a time or two.... :?
