Postby STEPHENANDERSON 2 » Thu Jul 13, 2006 10:46 pm

gl G. I am still trying to figure out how I got this far. About halfway through the year, the team starting going crazy. Just please keep RJ away from me and I may have a chance.

Congrats to both teams for making the finals and good luck the rest of the way.

2 1 run loses... those are the worse.

pitched Ohka on a whim, and he got mashed.

NOw its best 2 out of 3 and one of those will be against RJ in my field...... sheesh,,, unless i can take 2 straight

Congrats to Doctor Tax on his title, representing both our central division and CPAs well!! :D

See everyone in 2006! BTW, I will have some SP and RP quality available and will need quantity hitting since my offensive roster appears to be weaker in this upcoming season with a lot more holes to fill.

Congratulations to dr. tax on his championship, and kudos to both squads on such a tight & exciting series!

Just a headsup that there will be a brief hiatus of a week or so before I set up Season IV, due mainly to the fact that I have a couple other commitments I want to take care of first.

[b:e91dd826bc]Team Awards:[/b:e91dd826bc]

MVP - Bobby Abreu

Led the team in Runs, AVG, OBP, SLG & Xtra base hits - maybe I should have gone with someone else at leadoff!

CY Young - Eric Gagne

Brad Penny was being considered but a bad 2nd half ruined his chances. Benson gets a nod for a strong effort, but Gagne earns the award with 170 hard worked IP, 12-2 record, and the lowest ERA/WHIP on the pitching staff.

Rolaids Relief - Saloman Torres

Not the prettiest of numbers, but his 100 IP kept Gagne & Carrara fresh, and kept our team in enough games to earn himself an impressive 14-5 record.

Biggest Surprise - Bobby Abreu

Hard to believe my leadoff guy led the team in so many categories. Probably would have led in RBI if I'd had a decent performance out of my 9 hole hitter in Ford.

Biggest Disappointment - Zambrano / Ford

Zambrano's #'s were ugly. I wasnt expecting greatness, but an era/whip closer to Weaver/Fogg would have been nice. Ford was pretty disappointing as well ... glad he was only there as my 9th bat.

I will set up the 2006 season some time next week - just a headsup is all - no real hurry to get it underway.
