My LF slot can still accomodate either of them, that's not tied up!

And the next highest card-value guys are in the 5.1-5.3M range, so I'd say my guys are right there Sandy. Nice try though! :-)

It's always about the money with you, always about the money. :P

I'll prefer to wait for now (as I really have no choice).

After being the bridesmaid but never the bride all of last season, I am all about the RINGS this year. I am running the Lord of the Rings trilogy on the home theater in a loop to encourage my guys... :D

And here is the nasty report on last year:

- .526 win %, all in keeper leagues
- 14 teams, 5 playoff trips, zero titles
- had 86, 88, 91 and 100-win teams not make the playoffs

Hoping to remedy that this year, let's see....

Did you see that the Blue Ray extended version of LOTR is about to be released? Remember the problems that come with getting too close to the Dark Lord.

For $250 I got a very decent Panasonic Blu-Ray player/receiver and speaker package at Xmas. Small speakers, which my wife likes, but the sound is impressive. I have played LOTR (DVD version, have the collector's edition) and it rocks the living room in the battle scenes - have to make sure the kids are 100% asleep.

We rent Blu-Rays from Netflix, and you can definitely tell the difference. DVD is nice, but there is a next level. I had to tweak the balance to make sure we could hear dialogue over the special effects but once we got there, it's very nice. Just saw Iron Man II for kicks, lotsa fun...LOTR in Blu-Ray gonna be a must-rent, will kill the wife if she has to buy the box set a 2nd time though.... :P

Is it some strange cosmic coincidence that links SOM and LOTR? I first read the Hobbit in sixth grade, and have read the trilogy multiple times since. The first movie I took my wife to was The Fellowship of the Ring in 2002. I was a member of the fan club. She thought I was a huge geek, and I hadn't even let her into my SOM obsession. She even bought the extended version boxed sets for me on DVD (no Blu-Ray here). I have actually used LOTR references for a number of my teams:

Orthanc Wizards, Rivendell Fellowship, and Erebor Dragons.

Man, it's actually been a while. I'm gonna have to bust that out again soon to get pumped for the season.

Actually I believe GEEK is the common thread.

You should see my basement/rumpus room.

Are you one piece away from contending? Is that piece going to be there at pick #7, but maybe not when your turn comes up? Well, I'm willing to let you overpay for that pick. Do you have a couple of 2nd rounders laying around? Or maybe a 2 and a 3? or a 2 and a prospect burning a hole in your pocket?

I will use it if I have to, but I don't see myself contending this year, not without a bullpen anyway - so go ahead and overpay for that missing piece. I'll be waiting for your call (or I'll just draft your missing piece for myself and we'll both finish out of the money) :P .
