HMM was thinking of going kind of cheap then see what happens in the draft but then found out:

Jessica Alba's Sinners
Total Salary Cap: 100,000,000 (change cap)
Cash Remaining: 34,610,000
You've Spent: 65,390,000
Players You Still Need: 1
Average You can spend: 34,610,000

You must spend at least $75,000,000.

Have to reconsider some of the hitters I was going for. :)

oks got 25 players whose combined salary is min of $75 mil and is less than $100 mil. Course also depends on other player(s) drafted.

Have to knock Figgins off of card now.

The Salary Cap will be inconsequential when we start to play.

If we keep the top 204 hitters on our rosters (assume each of the 12 teams will carry the max of 17 hitters per team), the combined salaries only total $893.86 mill, which equates to roughly $74.48 million per team for hitters. Add in the virtual non-existent pitching payrolls, and teams will be hard-pressed to spend $80 million.

Should be interesting. :)

A Special Thanks to "Cubs69" for joining in so that we can get started. :)

You need to spend $75 mil else TSN will tell you after filling out your 25 man draft card if you spend less than $75 mil that you need to spend $75 mil.

Sorry guys. I've been out of computer range since Thurs afternoon. It's great to see Cubs69 jump into the fray.
I had originally had this as a $80M league because I wasn't sure if there was enough hitting to build a $75M team with only 8 or 9 million in pitching per team. Looking at Bob's numbers, I think we should go ahead and make this a $80M league. I don't think it will limit guys too much and add a little more strategy. I don't want to get in a position that we have to add salary to our pitching to get to the $75M minimum the $100M league requires.

Instead of assigning divisions, if Parkav could start this league and people add their team when they can, we'll let the divisions fall where they may. This league is so freakin' even with manager talent anyway, it doesn't matter. Also, we're in no big hurry since this is the August theme anyway.

Also, put your 2 draft picks at the bottom of the draft card (Parkav gets 3 :D ).
*To make you guys feel better, I'm in a similar Coors league and I'm getting destroyed! What was I thinking with this theme?

Kev

Don't trust my numbers, Kev.

LEAVE THIS AS A $100 MILLION LEAGUE TO BE FAIR TO ALL.
I ALSO BELIEVE THAT WE SHOULD ALIGN DIVISIONS AS STATED IN THE RULES - WE HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO DO THIS.

I didn't know you guys had already created draft cards so didn't think making adjustments was a big deal. I didn't know about the $75M minimum until this morning for the $100M league and didn't see Bob's analysis until this morning.
Also, I had actually forgotten I had posted the divisions.

Bob's analysis makes it a close call on the $75M for some but I think we can make it work by maxing out rosters. Lets say someone has $86 on their draft card, $75M final result may be tough to get!

In any case, lets go ahead and let the original rules fly and see what happens!!!
