Well I had an 0 for series from Manny Ramirez and won 2 of 3. Then again it is always nice to see your late acquisitions do so well ... Derrek Lee had a great opening night, and his brother Cliff ( :wink: ) pitched a 2 hit CGSO. Boo Giles for ruining the no-hitter in the 9th! :P

Btw BigAlric - what do you have against Chris Duffy?? Beaning him in his first AB of the season!

Kudos to HAL for putting E. Chavez in as a replacement, and then moving Wilkerson to CF for the rest of the series. 8)

Here is the updated owner summary for NLD. Silver is still the king with 1,136 wins, 11 playoff appearances and 3 titles and an all-time best .533 winning percentage. :roll:

Aside from Silver, no other owner has one more than one NLD title. :shock:

Beach has the most winning seasons without a losing season. He has 6 winning seasons in the books without one losing season. No titles to show for this consistency, though. :?

Korkie had the most playoff appearances without winning a title with 5. Might have had something to do with his dropping out in NLD 13. :(

Being a rookie owner is no handicap. 4 first-time owners won the title in their first season (Silver, Throwing Error, Sandlotshrink, and Hawkeye).

There have been 26 owners in the league over our 13 completed seasons. Only 3 original owners remain (Silver, Wineman/JTJ, Niners) now that Day has dropped out. BTW, did anybody ever hear from him? I hope he is okay.

I was away at the Cape last week with teh family. I thought I would have internet access - guess again...sorry about the f*$kup, looks like my squad will have to pay. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to access Penn's site to see who I got, I forwarded a message to Penn' support, but have yet to hear. - I loaded up proxies to get me to Monday - when I thought I'd have access - but at this point I'm not sure what the squad looks like. Kaufman seems like a pretty balanced stadium. If anyone has advice, I'm all ears.

BTW, Since I played the "new" small-ball team last night, a progress report on their steals: 5 swipes, 8 caught swipes. Obviously after 3 games that don't mean squat, but since this squad had a lot of print-time pre-season, thought I'd mention it. :wink:
