Remember guys.... when loading teams you MUST not attempt to draft more than the cap limit! I can see being .50 over if you are immediately cutting a player, but thats about it.

You can claim anyone not protected in this initial phase provided they suited up at least once for one of your designated subgroups.

Can you pleas straighten out this whole Pre/Post WWII and Expansion dilemma Frank M asked about? I am not exactly clear if there is an overriding rule for this league or if each event can have specific rulings. I just want to make sure everyone is aware exactly what the stance is.

First off I see that on my list that Keeler is still listed I changed that to None and Dubuc is still listed as my RP ,I changed to Dummy Taylor.
Now I am entirely confused the original rules stated any one who play at all for your franchise was eligible to be drafted which to me means their is no time line. So now you are saying that he has to have played in your era, which way are we going as if the second is true myI have to rethink my whole draft. Your changing the rules after the fact.

I am not changing any rules. You are protecting one player per subgroup. Among those protected must be one SP and one RP. After that, you can auto-draft anyone who ever played in one of your designated subgroups. Simple as that.

The only thing I'm not sure about are these specific cases like Cepeda, where he was carded to subgroup A, but technically played under subgroup B.

Remember.... we are using the terms Pre vs Post as a way to differntiate the franchises in OUR league, NOT SOM's. Pre-War is up to 1945... Post War is 1946 to current.

EXAMPLES:
Babe Ruth (1914-1935) is carded to NYY Pre-War, he is assigned to NY Pre-War in our league. He is eligible for Boston but not the Post-War NY team.

Roberto Clemente (1955-1972) is carded to Pitt Post can NEVER be on anyone other than Rust Belt Post-War in our league.

Joe Dimaggio (1936-1951) is carded to Pre-War NYY, is assigned to NY Pre-War in our league and could play for Post War NY in our league.

Sandy Koufax (1955-1966) is carded to Brooklyn Post-War by SOM, he is assigned to NY Post War and is eligible West Coast (LA), but NOT Pre-War NY in our league.

Willie Mays (1951-1973) is carded to NYG Post War. He is assigned to NY Post and is eligibile for West Coast (SF) but NOT NY Pre-War in our league.
