You're right Hawk - it pays to have those bargaining chips. I don't think there's a 1B left that I'd pick if I had a choice. Time to work a deal with NHStephen...

If I may toot my horn a little bit here, a 1B hitting .369 so far this season with a .624 slugging percentage snagged in Round 18 may be the value play of the draft so far. Mia Hamm and her excellent gene pool a nice add-on as well.

My pick of CIN is Brandon Phillips. Will post in the non-carded string - everyone please remember to update there if you pick a non-card player...

Gimme 10 mins for my next pick...

Let's see if you are STILL tooting that horn at the END of the season -- if Nomar even decides to MAKE it to the end of a season for a change.

Don't get me wrong -- he was on my list to be sure (like my pick of Mags earlier) but there is risk involved which is why he has lasted. NOT because we are all stupid and missed him. At 1B though, he has a much better chance of staying healthy so who knows.

I'll say this -- he has a much better chance of finishing nearer those numbers than Dye will imo -- but we shall see.

I almost chose Dye myself 5 rounds ago, then talked myself out of it.

Personally, I was hoping to get Nomar a little later but I should have realized that his early numbers were SOOO good that someone else would jump on him as there seems to be a run now towards good cards for NEXT year.

I was almost going the start the RP run instead of Dye because I don't think he'll put these #'s up all year. After I saw the big run start I almost wish I would have.

Now I'm a Dye fan. :D

I'm kicking myself because I thought I could get Nomar a little later for use as a DH next year.

Just goes to show what a savvy bunch of guys Qk has put together here - not a dull knife in the drawer (except for myself, perhaps - I've blown so many picks already I'm toast)
