It didn't last, I wnet 2-4 in 2 series against ya DT and that's gonna be the difference. I made a run but ran out of gas I guess, good luck to the playoff teams.

KD, nice job pushing me to the edge in the Semis. We had to run Timmy out there for game 5 & he came through for us.

Meeting DT in the Finals should be a nice challenge, let's get it on!

Yeah, I knew I was in trouble when you took 2 games at my place to tie it up. Going against Lincecum in the deciding game is just too tough.

Always the bridesmaid? I think I'm always the assistant bridesmaid, since it seems I can't ever get past the first round of the playoffs in any of these leagues.

OK, I usually don't b*tch about HAL, but this time I have to say something. HAL pulled Justin Duchscherer after 6 innings in Gm 2 yesterday. Guess what he had given up.

NOTHING

ZERO

ZILCH

Ok, I exaggerate, but not by much. The Duke had given up 1 HR, in the 4th inning, and NO OTHER BASERUNNERS. 67 pitches fer chrissakes! Struck out 8. I mean, this was a historically good playoff game, he had a 3-1 lead and a 1-hitter going, no BB, so naturally HAL yanks him for my setup guy. I like Buchholz's card just fine, but there was just no need for that move. I know Bernie worked on the pen stuff, and I have no major complaints until now, but man that stings.

Not b*tching about the outcome here, Duke would probably have given up the same as I think most of the rolls were on the hitter cards, so no diss to DT's team, they crush RHs, I just wish Duke had been in the game through 7 at least, or until HAL rolled him tired, but he was nowhere close to tired and no need to waste my pen like that.

Anyway, I'll be writing Bernie a note, not the finest hour for his pen logic...

Do you have closer max set or something? Your set-up guy came in to relieve him in the 7th- which is kind of weird but that happens I guess. But the new 4 batters were all LH or SW so perhaps it had something to do with the 4R that Duch is.

Perhaps HAL just had a bad hair day...

I don't think it was Duke's card other than that he's an S6. I think the setup man role was on autopilot in some way & didn't care whether Duke was tired or not. Buchholz is better than Duke vs LH by a long shot, but with a 2-run lead I think you have to pitch him and yank him if he lets a runner on....

Down to game 7. Timmy vs. Roy.
Timmy won the last match-up in game 3, 5-2.
They both have identical ERAs in the post-season (2.55).
Solo Flyers are at home where they are 2-1 in the WS.
Everyone is rested, and only Longorian is injured.
During the season Solo-Flyers were 4-2 vs the Bombers at home.

This is as even a game as I have seen, with the slight edge to the Flyers being at home. If only I could figure out a way to start Mariano Rivera...
