The way I had designed the league could certainly be altered (or scrapped altogether), but the concept of adding new players each season was to provide a change to pool so that we're not drawing from the same old boring set season-in and season-out.

If anything, I would advocate for a different breakdown of groupings: maybe one that mixes hitters and pitchers or one in which the retirement and addition alters the financial landscape (e.g., grouping by $ amounts).

I agree with Bill, the thing I think that makes SBDL unique and fun is the ever changing player pool, the strategy of saving players from retirement, the using of the same stadium unless you want to give up a pick, etc. The off season is as much fun as the regular season. :lol:
