Speaking of 3's that's all that separates the four teams in the[u:3085451913] East[/u:3085451913]. I'm looking for a 4-way tie for first any day now.

In addition to losing Putz, which has really hurt big time, I've now lost Varitek for a 15-gamer. Yes, something you have to expect with that injury roll, but it still stings.

Just when I get ready to throw my team in the toilet they reel off a sweep. This enigmatic team is driving me crazy. :?

Meanwhile, Kev's team is looking way good. I think we should raid his house though just to see how many immigrants are working for him.

Also, cudos for Doc's team and for the nice WC race between QK, Smokey and Terry at the moment. Obviously other teams can get involved, still a long ways to go.

Illegal Immigrants? How many???

My attorneys are saying I should say "NONE".

Wang, Juan Cruz, Otsuka, Barajas, Uribe, Jose Cruz, are all misprints. Their last names are actually Smith! Yes.....Smith!! 8-)

If you look at my lineup.........a 66-48 record would seem to be laughable!

However, I have the #1 (Morneau)and #2 (C. Lee) guys for MVP Voting and the #1 guy in the Cy Young Voting (Otsuka).

Strangely enough, I didn't want Otsuka and Lee, but that's all that was left over to choose from! :D

Dang! Two sweeps in a row (losing side) at the absolute worst possible time. You can afford to lose a series with 8 or 9 days to go, but not a sweep and especially not two sweeps. :x

[quote:882e339883="ehlekev"]I hate my team. I hate the $60M cap. I hate my 95 losses we are about to get. I hate my players. I hate my fans. I hate my wife's cats.

Have a nice day.

I had posted the above on July 5th and meant it!! I honestly thought I had the worst team in the league because I made last minute scramble changes, had a flawed US Cell strategy, and was sitting on a seemingly horrible OBP team among other issues. My team is 77-58 and has the best record.
That just shows you how clueless I am at this game!!!! At least this time my cluelessness was in reverse!

I still hate my wife's cats.

Kev is clueless..... who woulda thunk

Also, who would have guessed my number 5 starter would have 12 wins and my number 1 starter would have 7.

Also, with my 2 best hitters.. Gomez and Chipper.... getting hurt every other game..... that I would still be tied for the lead. I did predict I would have a good ave/ob% and that has held up. I have actually hit a few more homers then I thought.

Oh well.... its probably time to bring out the folders, because I fell a bad streak coming on.... which is about normal for this time of the season. Pennat and wild card spots still wide open.

Good luck to all these last week plus.

The cool thing about these $60M leagues is that you play guys that never get to play. I couldn't believe I was starting Uribe at SS and Monroe in LF. They have combined to hit 50HRs and 135RBIs in 135 games on some low $$$ salary.

Ian Snell and his $.50M salary is 10-3 with a 4.44ERA at the Cell. Who would have thunk that?

Congrats p/o teams. And a good job to QK for pulling out the WC on the final night. At least I was able to play spoiler a little by keeping Geekor from a tie or perhaps winning the WC outright.

GL you four in the playoffs.
