We have had all sellout or near sellouts

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Thu Nov 17, 2005 1:00 am

for every gaqme so far. What we really could use is at least a couple of W's against the Mama's tonite tho. I really wanted Kendall. Had he dropped him before the deadline, he would definitely be in the 3 spot instead of Irod(which isn't a bad thing at all.) But I wouldn't have Eyre facing 4 RH batters in a row in the 1st series either, because I'd have 1.49M more to spend on a lefty killer for the 9th.

Cummings we're going to have to archive all your posts and maybe
publish them, too funny !!! The money made will have to be split up
evenly among all the teams in the league though.

My team has won one less game each night, 2, 1, and last night the
old broom !! Good thing is we don't play more than 3 a night so I'm
pretty sure things can only get better...right ?

I'll play Canucks54 tonight, who I lucked out and took 2 of 3 from
in the first series, I'm sure Revenge will be on his mind, not good :(

The Hoods (7-2) continue their dominance of the east with 2 wins over fellow rook Phanatics, but may be feeling a little pressure from the 5-4 Samurai, who took advantage of the Edumacators home field to win two games. Edumacators are 1-5 at home, and many fans are planning a rally to set up a human chain to close off the stadium and force the team to play the rest of their games on the road.

In the central Yo Mamas are wondering what hit them as the sashaying (no fair using my word, et!) Cha Chas sent the Doh! Mamas packing after taking all three games.

In the west the veteran BlueRiders delivered a lesson to the Disco Balls, break dancing on their home turf to 4-3, 4-2, and 4-2 wins. The Canucks54 cemented a vets power play with 2 wins over the Padowans, including an interesting 2-0 game #3 in which the two teams sent nearly $35M in pitching to the mound (Zambrano, Benitez, and Rivera for Canucks; Schmidt and Lidge - who lost the game - for Padowans). This seen in a Ruatha Weyr local paper: "Has anyone seen our baseball team? We heard that the season had started but where's our team?" The BlueRiders play their first home series tonight against the Padowans.

Rumors that a rival newspaper, the National SOM Enquirer, has hired tha flamboyant gossip columnist known only as "Mr. Cummings" to spice up their baseball coverage are unfounded. Not true. You read it here. I hope you're reading it here. Oh, never mind. Give me that Enquirer, I just can't stop laughing.

My hoodies are in an odd predicament for tonight's game: there's a gossip running around that if we beat the Samurai tonight...they'll cut the testi-balls out of those Samurai. Mr. Maddux was last seen in Dodger Stadium caressing his balls gently and speaking to them in a sotto voce "I will not fail you my babies" he was heard saying.

On the other hand we hear he's arming that Ch-ch-changeup of D-d-death...what are my Hoddies going to do?

I'd post a comment here but I'm too busy b*tching out my worthless POS closer as well as my lethargic offense and anyone else that I happen to pass.

Yaba Daba Doo!!!

They were throwing fruit and dancin in their seats last nite at SBC Ballpark as the Cha Cha's swept the Mamacita's and returned to their rightful spot in the standings.

Everyone seemed to want to rave about 1.16M Barry Frito Zito outpitching his 9.45M counterpart Johan Sebastian Santana - who got torched for 9 hits, 4 walks and a towering fly ball by Troy Glaus-ter Mass. that ended up killing a seal in San Francisco's Bay.

Our Marketing Director was so greatful for Johan's performance of "Der Weinerschnitzel" on the harpsichord that he got together with our head bartender and we named a new cocktail after him. It's called "The Santana Banana Daiquiri" Just 2 of those and you just can't find the strike zone.

Who's yo Mama?

I think I'll need a Sanatana Banana for tonight's game...ET has set his lineups and threatened to cut the danglers out of his staff if they loose tonight...either way I'll need a drink!

Barry "Frito" Zito

Went back and finally caught up on all the clever posts in the thread. What a great fun bunch of Bachagalupes this league is. Tyber, you are as creative a commish as I have encountered. We'll have to keep at least the core of this one together until we get tired of each other's jokes. We alsoi might invite Cummings to be our color commentator after his team comes back down to reality in the East. And they decide to "explore other options - As in "Cummings and Goings" at Manager in Little Red town. But don't fret - ther's always a job here for you in Fruittown.

Until then, just keep up the good work, rooks. Jeff, don't let your players BA spin you into an add/drop frenzy. Those hitters will come around - even at Petco.

And bTW Cummings, just beat tar out of ET any chance you get. His luck always returns. So let him do the Vienna Boyz Choir routine on his players and deal with the karma - which just ran over his dogma.
