The Very Early Pre Card Draft Chat

One of the first picks I feel really good about: Ellsbury. Capable of leading off vs. L's and R's, 70 SB's, and a good candidate for a "1" in CF.

I'm hoping the player I passed on in round 4 is still around after the bend...

Why don't you tell us who it is so we can save him for you?

Well, it was Tejada. I am assuming he'll get a 2e21...he turned the most double plays and was decent in range rankings.

I was going back and forth b/n Ellsbury and McCutcheon...and the latter just went off the board (too big of a split for me)

You guys are too smart. You keep taking all of the players I think will get passed on or forgotten. Beltran, Aybar, and McCutchen were just three of the latest in a long line.

I guess we're drafting closers now. I think I got a pretty good one in leading AL ROY candidate Bailey. I'm hoping for a sick R2/C4 or R2/C5.

So how are folks feeling about their squads so far? I think I'm doing ok. Like I said when I made the pick, Matt Holliday is the only guy I'm a bit suspicious about.

I think pitchers are always difficult to forecast, but Greinke, King Felix, and Andrew Bailey should be pretty solid.
