I think my lack of a solid bat behind Ensberg is finally catching up tp me, Jenkins and Burrel's futility cannot be hidden now that others have come back to their normal #'s and Berkman in injured.

How do you expect the trade to help you? (Not saying it won't, just curious as to your logic)

I was obviously not impressed with how my team was performing lately and looked at several trade's. I don't like trading in the division but this one seemed to work out best as far as players and $$$. Iwould have prefered to trade Ausmus instead of Schneider but it didn't work out that way. Lidge, Jenkins and Schneider were all under performing. I think I upgraded at 2 positions and down graded at 1.

Jenkins-Guillen -I lose a little def. in RF but over all I think Guillen is better for my park I believe Guillen will hit better than Jenkins for me. Guillen strikes out less and his other over all #'s are similar.

Lidge-Heilman - Lidge gives up too many HR's and is essentailly a 1 inning pitcher in the setup role. I'll hopefully get far more innings out Heilman with better results. With Heilman being able to pitch more innings it may also open up a possibility for me to trade another reliever.

Schnieder-Matheny -As I said I didn't want to trade Schneider but had to in order to make the deal. His #'s weren't anything special so it's not like I'll need much out of Ausmus to replace him. Matheny is a good defensive replacement.
* This may also open the possibility of moving Ausmus along with a releiver for another bat.

I'm not 100% sure if this trade will help me or not but I felt I needed a change. At the very least I entertained myself for a while trying to work out a trade.

What do you dislike about the deal?

OMG, we got swept by Yogi tonight. That's pathetic. That team is soooo bad.

Shields blows another save, I'm sure we lead the league since we're 19 for 37. We lose in 10 on a homer by Robles

No shame in losing to Halladay in game two since we had Maddux going.

Then, since Hal had already burned Shields in a 6-2 game, he tried using Madson to close and we lose by 1. Ugh. Guess some the luck we got during our win streak came back to bite us. No way we should get swept by that team.

Oh well, on we go.

R-Dog,

I feel for you. No way your team should be tanking like this. I would guess you'll come around, but, what a bad stretch!

I've been gone for the last week or so, but ya my team has been terrible. I'm not sure what is going on. I know it's a dice game but things should still even out. This has been one bad stretch. I hate to give up on any season but I don't like my chances of turning it around now.

I saw a post a while back about the parity in the 2006 set, and I'm starting to wonder if it's not true. In 2005 I could pretty much tell if I was going to have a good team or not. This year although early (2 teams) I'm not sure what's going on.

Personally, I think you've run into a tough stretch as I think your team is pretty solid. Don't know if the trade helped you overall however. Your rating went down slightly.

Course we've been playing pretty so-so after being amazingly hot. Hopefully we'll get back to winning more than we lose.

Lucky for us, you and the Blackbirds are also struggling.

Oops, accidently posted that as Wineman instead of me. We share teams so I was logged on as him checking one of our teams.

not much time left in the season to turn it around, I'd probably need a 12 game win streak to get back into it. Who knows though, stranger things have happened.

Yeah, you've had a bad stretch. If you look at your run differential there's no way you should be .500.
