Major League III

Hey, that is my movie playing itself in my locker room

I did notice that Willis took a 3-day vacation this week from a toe nail injury AFTER facing just one batter.

I'm going to start playing really bad horror movies, like House of 1000 Corpses, in our locker room, if my team doesn't start winning ... like PRONTO!! :x

In the ballpark if my pitchers don't grow some balls and pitch inside!

Otherwise, I'm glad we hired Albert Belle to work as our hitting coach.

[i had to fix that damn miss-spelling mixtake again!]

Albert works hard with my guys bats inbetween @bats

Does that mean he's getting paid by the [i:2fd3f57142][b:2fd3f57142]hour[/b:2fd3f57142][/i:2fd3f57142] Semper??? :P

Ya know ... if Manny would actually get a hit once a series - we could have earned a sweep. :x

With three 1-run games AT, they could have been a lot of scenerio's for our series.

Pitching Logic?

Postby Semper Gumby » Sun Jul 30, 2006 7:22 am

Why does it seem HAL has a preference to run RPs for one or two batters this season?

[code:1:771d6e5986]*** TOP OF INNING 6 ***
0 R.Mackowiak 4 Fly Out b-0
1 J.Gerut 1 Double b-2
1 2 J.Damon 6 Ground Out b-0
2 2 M.Ellis 1 Home Run 2-H b-H
SUBSTITUTE P - Rudy Seanez
2 A.Pujols 3 Strike Out b-0
*** BOTTOM OF INNING 6 ***
0 R.Winn 1 Ground Out b-0
1 D.Dejesus 1 Ground Out b-0
2 M.Grudzielanek 3 Fly Out b-0
*** TOP OF INNING 7 ***
0 D.Ortiz 1 Double b-2
0 2 M.Young 1 Single 2-3 b-1
SUBSTITUTE P - Salomon Torres[/code:1:771d6e5986]

The next two batters Torres faced he walked and then allowed a HR.

I think over the past 18 games, HAL has run my relief corps out just tossing them at one or two batters and then replacing with another RP.

My settings are "normal" versus "aggressive" and my individual controls are reasonable (avoid "RHB" for Dingman).

Every Division is pretty tight top to bottom. Going out of Division tonight for the first time should give us a better gauge at how our teams stand in a few days.
