Dammit Rob!!! You had to mention the redheads!

OK...I'm drooling already

Rough edges? What rough edges...after my coochies are done with yer Cha-Chas all you'll see will be the flat surface they'll be down on :P

(aaaaaaaah...good old smack...I'm smiling for the first time today  )

Thanks Rob...sniff...sniff...you always know how to bring tears to my eyes :P 8)

_________

So, this morning I got to school, went through all I had to do...got ready to change my initial waiver picks. Did the math, made sure the numbers fit...all is good, about to take A-Rod with my first pick, some starting pitching, I'm starting to feel some optimism with this Tom Waits team of mine...and as I am about to reset my waivers: The Head Honcho of the institute calls, I go upstairs for three loving and entretaining meetings back-to-back-to-back [i:d2abe881d5]THREE[/i:d2abe881d5]...wonderful way of spending about 4 hours today I tell ya.

Well, so now I've patched together the most unorthdox team I have put together. I am just, well, I have no clue what I'm doing.

You have what I term a "Zero" Stress...

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Sat Mar 11, 2006 12:08 am

Ballclub...A team you can actually have "0" Expectations of, so you really don't have to stress out about them. Therefore no matter what happens, you won't ever be upset and if anything goes right it is totally accidental - therefore giving you the sense that your karma has actually taken a good turn - Bringing to mind that old Axiom - "It is impossible to fall off the floor."

Now, doesn't that feel better already?

Which brings to mind an old proverb...

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Sat Mar 11, 2006 12:22 am

by the Prophet Mickey Rivers: "Ain't no sense worryin' about things ya' got no control over...Cuz if ya' got no control over em' - Ain't no sense worryin'..." And it's inverse : "Ain't no sense worryin' over things ya' got control over...Cuz if ya' got control over em' - Ain't no sense worryin..."

And just remember to "Never give a gun to Ducks or Elk during hunting season." And your experience will likely be much more secure - altho not as adventurous.

Oh well...

After Alfredo Amezega played for the Angels in the year of this card, he was left out of the Angels's 40 man roster. The Rockies picked Amezega for his sweet glove and hoping Coors would get his bat going, afterall Amezega did hit over .300 in AAA Salt Lake City.

So Amezega went to the Rockies and Coors...and he still couldn't hit.

One would think that I would be wise enough to learn from an MLB team wouldn't you... well, I never said I was a wise man

Amezega IS my starting SS, you know my biggest question about this? that is if he goes down for 15 games I can only play Eric Young there. That's how goofy that team of mine is: it's not his bat that worries me...it's the absence of it.

This is going to be fun.

Jeff misses the post-waiver frenzy and still walks away with Ortiz and Beltre. Wow.

2 Ameriquests, Coors & Fenway in the East. I think my team didn't budget enough for home run fireworks.

BTW Rob, I've got to remember the Zero Stress thingie...bound to drop it with my students every now and then.

Nice going there on the series tonight. You're right about Kennedy...he's my Cha-Cha Killer Chop-Chop...now if only I could get me a Phanatic and a Beulah Chop-Chop I'd be in business.
