Yep, rarely will I make any 11th hour changes, but had to make a few earlier this evening. Should be enough to win my division by 2 games. :wink:

Nice opening night for the Wonders. My pitching was the most pleasant surprise, and the guy I'm worried about the most, Giles, had probably the best series of any of my hitters. 8)

Anybody else have any opening night tidbits?

Not sure this qualifies as a tidbit, but Todd Helton went 0 for 13...I was considering dumping him last night before the season and picking up Chad Tracy who some may remember I tried to draft after he'd already been drafted... :oops: Kept him afterall. Perhaps he'll redeem himself.

2-1, though, for the Velvet Dogs on the road. Not bad at all.

Can't believe it's been 24 days since anyone has said anything here. :shock:

Nice little winning streak there Sandy :wink: , in fact your squad has been impressive all year. After a blistering start Hawg has come back down to earth some, but nevertheless has the 2nd best team record-wise.

Meanwhile I'm playing average baseball right now, I need to kick it into another gear soon. Fortunqtely my Division mates, while not playing poorly, are playing average also. Therefore, I have a 4 game lead over all 3 of the other teams.

Lost on a throwing error in the 10th last night... :evil: Gathright pinchruns, takes off for 3rd, and Javier Valentin throws it into LF as Joey trots home with the go ahead run! :twisted:

Every time I get a little run going I get swept. This time the Mustangs were the culprit. I've had a lot of tough luck losses in this league...feel like I'm due for a run of good luck.

Last night for example: 2 1-run losses and the 3rd loss in the 11th on a walk-off HR.
