Hey all,

First & foremost - thanks for your participation in the Half-Team Keeper League, especially those of you who were in both sets of 4.

With the advent of ATG IV I am going to put the Half Team keeper league on hiatus for a couple of months. This will allow people to get used to the new card set. It will also allow me (and you) to focus on other commitments.

I think that ATG IV will still lend itself to a workable Half-Team theme, but it is obvious, that since they no longer do it by specific years (ie no Yankee '27s) that there will be some changes to make to the structure as well.

In any case each of you, when I return with the new version of the Half-Team Keeper will have first choice to join before I open it to new owners. That will likely be sometime in September or October.

MVP - Lou Gehrig

Only player who was consistent throughout the whole season

CY Young - Jerry Koosman

Koosman ends Whitey Fords consecutive CY Young awards streak

Rolais Relief - Luis Arroyo

Not the greatest performance but definitely the best of my motley bullpen

Pleasant Surprise - Roy McMillian

It isnt saying much when your most impressive performance (from an unexpected source) is the OBP of your 8-9th hitter.

Disappointing Performance - Earl Averill, Rollie Fingers & Wally Post

Back to Back lousy efforts from Post puts him on a do not use list. Fingers was disappointing especially since he actually pitched better against RH Bats. For someone with such a solid card vs. LHP Averill was remarkably pedestrian.

Almost at the half way point for Season IV. Hard to believe we're almost done this theme!

Past the half-way mark now and all the divisions remain pretty tight! Should be a challenging 2nd half! :)

Coming up to the 2/3rd mark ... still have a winning record which is good. :) All the divisions remain pretty competitive - especially the Central!
