LOTO(AKA League Of their Own) 05' CONSOLATION LEAGUE

Okay I've made a couple of adjustments. Someone dropped J. Rice so I added his stick to replace Baker and I've gone in and set Quis to setup and closer both ways and set him to a slow hook since HAL was only letting him pitch 1/3 or 2/3's of an inning even though he wasn't giving up any runs and is an R3. Go figure?!

There really wasn't alot of slugging available after the draft unless the guy was a 4 defense and I was trying to avoid that to help the SPs out.
I probably should have mentioned as well that I missed waivers with this team and that didn't help any.

I get to play penngray in the Semis. Hopefully my guys will have some incentive to beat him (my record in 5 game series is abyssmal - worse than the Atlanta Braves!) considering he ruined my chances to make the playoffs in an ATG II league.

If it had been Elviras Leatherknockers winning the Central we'd have had two teams in the playoffs with a negative run differencial! ;)

Good luck to all in the playoffs! :)

CELEBRATING IN CHA CHA LAND...

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Sat Mar 18, 2006 12:12 pm

Since we had to play our last 9 on the road - We have been opening up the Ballpark for free with the Scoreboard broadcasting all of the road games.

All drinks and food were only half price - but on last game of the regular season, everything was on the house as a fan appreciation day -especially for putting up with our horrendous 1st half.

CHA CHA LAND(The actual name of our ballpark - because it is just so much more than a ballpark) usually rocks after any win - with women shedding their tops and everyone throwing fruit, singing our theme song and doing the CHA CHA...

But when we decided that when we actually clinched - that we would roll out a huge tarp onto the field and admission was womens panties(Which I collected and keep on file) to get onto the field(Men are free) - and we had huge vats of all kinds of fruit that we poured onto the tarp - which people could either eat, smear and slide around in...Believe me - It was something to behold. And another 1st for MLB...    Robert

In games 160 and 161 - every time Embree gace up another hit or walk - all 50,000+ fans would yell in unison "HAL SUCKS!!!" You could hear it all over the downtown area - fir 6 2/3 innings...

Too late, central is full. You get a reprieve this time.

Well...The Fans are celebrating in CHA CHA LAND...

Postby ROBERTVOZZA » Wed Mar 22, 2006 2:49 am

Unlike the WC clincher, Lowry and Ryan hooked up for a gem in game 3...Personally, nobody is as surprised as I am...The Phanatics may have been the toughest team to get out all season...Very surprised at how cold their bats went...

But the fans went crazy...And they deserved it. We have a few days to clean up the mess as we will have to go on the road against the team that has created the worst matchups all season for my team - both offensively AND defensively.

This has been no easy road...And the Cha Chas will have to win at least 1 game on the road to pull this off. I will have to depend on good rolls and big games by the little guys - as opposed to being able to play to our strengths - LH Power. Should be very tough. My best to Stoney and Penn...And GL to AT, who I have been in many leagues with over the years - But this is our 1st Finals together.

Should be great fun... Robert
