They removed most of my cartilage with the last surgery. They cleaned it up as much as they could but it just wasn't enough. Now they have to replace it. Sounds like the same kind of surgery your friend is having. They call it "minimally invasive" where they make a small incision on the inside of the knee, and shove all the parts in. Not supposed to be as traumatic to the tissue and thus a speedier recovery time. I took too many shots off the knee playing 3rd base methinks. I shoulda worn my mitt there! They said I would still be able to play after the surgery but best to get a pinch runner from now on. No duh! No springtime softball for me this year. I just hope it doesn't cut into my Little League team's schedule. Gonna be hard to coach on crutches! :(

Geez David, hope everthing turns out o.k. for you. We're moving slooooooowly on the slow draft, been waiting on the Minnie-man. We may only get 3-4 rounds in by Friday. So we are starting the quick draft this Friday ay 7? Thanks, and i'm ready for my pick, will be in and out most of today.

Patience everyone. We will end up averaging a round a day and enter Friday night with at least 6 rounds completed like always. Do you really want 16 or 18 rounds done before Friday night? That would mean fast drafting backup shortstops and scrub pitchers. I am 17 players away from my next pick and am not expecting to make that pick today and I am okay with that. These rounds are supposed to be savoured like a delicious meal. Enjoy!

Don't worry guys we're moving along nicely, we're on schedule to complete six maybe eight rounds before Friday Night. Just the right number. 8)

Daniel, your right the idea of the Quick Draft is to be picking important players for your team under the pressure of the five minute clock. :D Savory the SLOW PICKS!!!!!!!! :P

Right you are fellas! Another interesting thing about the slow draft is it gives you more time to think about your next pick or change direction in your strategy. I've been doing that all night and it doesn't even have that much to do with what other peeps are taking!
