[quote:0a913fae74]We've done lots of live drafts before as well, Jeep. Can't say we've ever had so many problems right out of the gate![/quote:0a913fae74]

Wasn't trying to suggest otherwise, was just throwing that out there in case they was some newbies in here. There's some guys here I haven't played with before.

I'm just on the sidelines ready to go in when my turn comes up. :wink:

no good deed goes unpunished! its especially tedious without using an excel spread sheet, but will get to relievers if they're not done already, and will pick a high priced n-l reliever to surrogate for pedroia if they haven't already been removed. it is BEST if all 12 can check in here at least once a day since its the only way to communicate.
i sent a thread for majordeegan to restore players excluded, but they will HOPEFULLY be drafted by the time he gets back to us...

kuo is the highest priced player yet to be excluded, we can make him pedroia. i was trying to make the surrogate as close to his actual price for salary cap concerns, which again is 72m cap. we desperatly need to hear from cal to get this thing moving...

Salary Cap is $73 Million

Postby Al Hogg » Wed Sep 02, 2009 10:49 am

...NOT $72 million as per Meat's latest post. (I changed the draft administration, Meat, so that it stops people from picking too expensive of players. Looks like you had it set at $80 million.)

OK:

Kuo = Pedroia
McLouth = Roberts
Kapler = Kinsler

Cal should still just post here, though, if he is taking anyone other than Pedroia, as people might have already put Wright down as a proxy for Pedroia.

We certainly all seem like newbies at this by the way this is going. I agree with Jeep that courtesy is key. Remember, it takes 12 willing owners to make a league.

My proxies were Halladay and Pedroia.

So I guess I get Pedroia? (aka Kuo)

And I will need to keep track of my $$$ spent on the side...

[quote:82f08adb65="Schnoogens"]We can probably just make one of the NL stadiums be Pedroia?

It's also a mess when someone assumes they don't have to pick for awhile and then doesn't check anything...clearly hasn't read this thread.[/quote:82f08adb65]

In the 9 drafts I have participated in with this group, this is the first time anything like this has happened before. I am typically one of the most timely guys in the group. Please accept my apologies for the delay. When I became aware of the problem, I was in meetings at work and couldn't break free until now.

[u:82f08adb65]My Schedule[/u:82f08adb65]
I do tend to be much more active online at night. I am in the Central Time Zone and typically cannot check things out in the morning until around 10:30 a.m. Central Time. However, I typically am checking in pretty steadily thru the draft until around 1:00 a.m. and try to have proxies in in case the draft gets moving in the morning.

No problems, Cal....it's summer...things slow down...I'm going to be away from a computer a lot the next couple days, so if people need me, please call if I don't check in in an hour.

Not your fault at all, Cal. You've got Pedroia (aka Kuo).

So how did Wright appear in the proxy list this morning if Tom excluded him? Anyway, I have now excluded him again (if he ever indeed was excluded).

Tom, can you contact Jason (Uptown) and make sure he is on board with the draft?

I'm going to be out of town on business and away from computers (that I can use for this purpose) Wednesday and Thursday of next week. I hope proxies and nighttime use, plus the occasional wi-fi place, will get me through.

And I think the clock will need to be turned off sometime Friday; at least a few people will likely have some long weekends coming up.
